post apocalyptic/sci fi-ish anime?

Hey all. I'm pretty new to anime in general. (haven't seen much of it, couple movies, generally avoid any North american released tv shows) Just wondering if anyone could suggest any movies/dvds/whatever that have a kind of sci fi/futuristic and/or a post apocalyptic theme? Thanks :) note: feel free to move if this is in the wrong section.

Well theres Casshern Sins and Chrome Shelled Regios both post apocalyptic
Vandread is a good one
