Normally I would say weapons since they are well...weapons but fists can be awesome when someone like Alucard does it

i've never used a weapon in my life... well apart from that one time when i placed my nodachi to a mans throat when he broke into my apartment... then again... i dislike weapons... i dislike them because i know how to use them. i prefer my fists... and thats where mah kung fu comes in

If you look at Negima, people prefer to use fists because its superior to a gun, why use a gun when you can travel at the speed of light and have punches with the power of a MoaB bomb?
A thing I like about Nabari no Ou is that unlike Naruto where you have flat screen televisons, computers, electricity, but no vehicles or guns, while in Nabari, ninjas use guns and drive cars cuz its just faster than running.

Its more of a question of how they do it rather then what type of weapon they use. A bad-ass can deal the pain with a gun or fists it's just how you represent them that makes them the shit.

A weapon is also awesome cause it works as a accessoary and symbol for that character, unlike a fist. People knows the characters weapon just as well as the characters themselves.

In the real world the only weapon you need is the AA-12.
Nothing is getting back up after getting hit by that.
But as for fantasy, I prefer the Jackie Chan types who use their surroundings as weapons.
Nothing beats grabbing whatever you can find to kick your opponents ass.
So I guess I really prefer hand to hand but would really rather use the weapons myself.
