The second season is called Queen’s Blade: Gyokuza no Tsugumono. I know there's a lot of people saying its a shitty anime, but I like it. Then again, I love boobies, so that could be the reason. The fights may not be as good as Ikkitousen, but boobies are as good a reason as any.
Truthfully I thought this was gonna be some new hentai series that would be coming out that I just couldn't wait to get my digital hands on but finding out that its an anime series made me kill my own hopes and lower my expectations. I rarely watch anime any more unless the plot can keep me hooked. Queen's Blade may have more ecchi fanservice than a plot, nothing wrong with that really but I can't watch a series just about fanservice and be entertained and awesome fighting scenes only keep me held over for so long until I wonder what the the villian is doing.
Luckily there is a bunch of hentai for this series lying around so I should at least be greatful that the anime series popularity has lead to this much material scattered on the net.
Overall: I'll give it a try. Zero No Tsukaima continues to pull me in each season and I the plot in my opinion isn't all that great yet I still love the series for some odd reason. So maybe the amount of ecchi fanservice will make me fall in love with this series when it's out
-Excerpt from a blog I have
I finally come back around to this series after remembering it existed and I finally find on the forums the first OVA. Thanks Kenji! Now I have to go find the episodes if there are any. After the OVA: Must watch series dammit.
When I saw the description of the series on ann.com I though "Oh great... another plain ecchi filled/boring series" - but considering that most of you liked it I guess I'll give it a go.
Fans of Queen's Blade should already know that the second season, entitled "Queen's Blade: Gyokuza no Tsugumono", will start airing around October 2009, provided there aren't any delays. Of course, there are some who criticized the first season for its lack of a decent plot and storyline, but hopefully, Gyokuza no Tsugumono will fare better in these aspects.
Of course, I am also praying that the ecchi fanservice will remain at a constantly high level, with more focus given to the other characters. I have nothing against Reina, but the other lovely females deserve more screen time.
