Awesome!! I've been reading this in G's Magazine, and I've been wishing it'd be adapted into an anime. I loved the manga artwork so much. Can't wait for this.

Hasegawa Subaru enters a basketball club of Nanashiba High School, but the activity of the club gets suspended because the club leader falls in love with an 11 year old daughter of the coaching teacher. Subaru's aunt asks him to coach a basketball club of elementary school girls. At first, he is reluctant to teach small girls, but he devotes himself to the club as he knows the complex circumstances of them.

Upon looking at this anime's thumbnail as the topic suggests, I thought this looked interesting. I seen the first episode and this anime has stolen my heart. The characters are so adorable and have cute personalities. You have Tomoka, the female lead and the most experienced in basketball, Saki the meganekko, Maho the feisty, Airi the gentle (she kinda reminds me of Mikuru :3), and Hinata the sweetie.

The way the character development is set up, it looks like kind of like a harem and moeblob anime. When the girls meet the male lead, Subaru, they're dressed like maids. There was a significant amount of fanservice and even a shower scene (which censorship strikes again. BOOOOOO!).

So far I cannot choose a favorite character because they are all so likable. But Subaru seems like a person that is easily manipulated and controlled. Especially by his blackmailing sister, Miho.

So far, this anime is interesting and adorable and I cannot wait for the uncensored version. If you like basketball, harem, and moe this anime is for you.

Well, you can tell right away if this series is for you or not just by watching the first episode since
Spoiler:
we have Maid lolis saying "Master" and "Onii-chan" and a loli shower scene. Thankfully, these are the cutest lolis I've seen since Shugo Chara.

It appears that all my previous reservations were absolutely spot on.

Getting back on topic, I believe I should enjoy Ro-Kyu-Bu, provided I have enough time on my hands. :)


I'd love to see a good volleyball anime done myself.

I must say that I enjoyed it a lot more that I thought I would. The artstyle is super cute and the girls all seem to be pretty likable, (especially Airi and Hina). I'm also very curious as to how Tomoka got into basketball so I shall continue to watch with delight. :)

the first episode was quite enjoyable but I look forward to the next episode so we can get a little more in depth story for each of the girls and the coach.

Mm. Tomoka was quite awesome in episode 2, and it was nice to see her back story a bit, and how she has improved her sportsmanship. Hopefully Subaru can get the girls ready for the match in time. I daww'd when the girls were all dressed up when Subaru did come back, though, and when he said that he was going to protect their club.
