awwwwwwwYEAH.

I just can't believe what I just saw right there. The ending is almost what we had predicted in this thread pages ago lol.

But I'm still pissed at:

The fact Bunmei didn't finish his sentence (well yea, predictable). And the fact that his heroic act only led him to his dissapearance. The worst is that Maya is going out with the little Bunmei ._. . I feel really sad for old Bunmei.


Anyways great show, like REALLY GREAT, didn't expect it to be so awesome.

Btw just noticed Maya's voice actress is K-ON Mio's.

Well, the finale to Seikimatstu Occult Academy was definitely surprising, but in a good way.
Spoiler:
I thought that Bunmei might have been the key, but I didn't think that the key was him meeting his younger self. I was really glad that Bunmei realized all of his flaws and stepped it up in the end. That finale fight sequence was badass, and I was glad that the future was saved.

I was also surprised that Maya ended up taking care of Bunmei's younger self. I would have thought that the mother would have found him eventually, but maybe she just stopped caring after awhile. Oh well. It looks like Bunmei is with a better family in the end. Too bad we didn't get to see an older-looking Maya, though. :(


Overall, this was a very nice series, with good action and tons of plot twists, and I am glad that I decided to check it out.

wait so in the end is the relationship between little Bunmei and Maya siblings? mother-child(older bunmei as "father")? But epic spoon is epic

Wiki saids they are married but i dont know..it's wiki

So Ra No Wo To and Senkō no Night Raid both were only mildly liked. So they haven't said they were doing anything else after Occult.

Oh right, that makes much sense now. I would have also tought they'd be married by that time.

There isn't really any definite thing that says they are married. It may be implied but then againt the relationship can be a number of forms including sibling oriented. Wiki says they are married in one section, but then says that it is only implied in another. You'll just have to decide for yourself.

I find it a tad strange that Maya's father had his memoires but Maya seemed to not have her's. Or perhaps it was the otehr way around? She talked to her dad like they talked only yesterday, yet her dad doesn't remember. Time Travel is wack.

2012 - 1999 = 13 years

If they did get married, Bunmei possibly married his school's principle.

I'm going to go out on limb here and say that Bunmei is Nostradamus's Key. I remember Maya foreshadowing it when she was talking about "it" "coming down from out of the sky" during ep 2 I think. Then she just forgot about that line of thinking completely when she was attacked after her shower deal (remember, thats when the journal got all shiney and saved her the first time?).

The reason I think this is because as we saw, the world is not yet saved. That, and Maya took a picture of not only Mikaze but of Bunmei. She might of thought, "What if I shot them with a missile?" or "What if I destoryed them?" and phone showed the future was going to be saved. So yeah, I think Bunmei is the key and not just future Bunmei, but maybe 1999 child Bunmei (which might be why he is in the preview).


We'll see next week but I just wanted to through that out there on the small chance I can say "told ya so!" if it happens.

Ah, good point. I forgot that child Bunmei was depicted in the preview, and that both Mikaze and Bunmei were in the same photo. I have a feeling that you are correct!

Epic ending indeed!

I know that Maya is in High school but Bunmei looks like he's still in elementary school. If they ever got married, Maya would be older by 4-5 years old (just guessing though).

True, since Maya is still only a middle or high schooler and she is not a senior. and after watching the final ep 3 more times i have finally noticed that it saids Uchida on the name plate of the house during the 3rd time. THEREFORE ima guess they married


apparently Bunmei is "SUPPOSEDLY" 23 and Maya is 17 so that makes little Bunmei 10 years old. Little Bunmei is a pimp

I liked the whole series, except the

married endding seemed a little forced Maya was in love with Bunmei from the future because of his actions duing the time they wee together. But with young Bunmei she had none of those, like-wise it looked as if his only views of Maya would be older sister/step-mother type. I'm not saying they shouldn't have gotten together though different experiances in their "new" future just didn't need to be spelled out so bluntly. The perfect moment to end the last ep. imo was right as Maya's father steps out of the bunker looks at his phone and sees Maya on the screen
