Scheduled for airing in July, Sekirei has already been identified as one of the fanservice titles of Summer 2008. Like many other titles, Sekirei starts off with Minato Sahashi, an ordinary student attempting to enter college, but due to a twist of fate, he encounters Musubi, who fortunately or unfortunately, drags him into battles never before experienced.
Since I have only browsed through the manga, I am not sure of its exact storyline, but from the preview videos, it appears that the anime will be staying true to its manga counterpart, at least for the first few episodes. As everyone already knows, there will be some form of fanservice, though I doubt it will be comparable to that of Kanokon. Looking on the bright side, the fight scenes featured should ensure the anime does not fall into the mindless fanservice ecchi category.
Below is a related image and two preview videos:

P.S. This is my first time linking youtube videos and I hope I am doing it right.
I'm really looking forward to this, and I'm even looking forwarder in the DVD release  . The fight scenes looks promising, and balanced with some fanservice here and there.
BTW, where is Kazehana? does that mean this season will end before they meet Kazehana?
they won't, they already have a seiyuu for her, but i think the level of fanservice has gone down in the anime
Why do they always have to change the levels?
They either crank it way up (kanokon/R&V etc.), or make it disappear (kimikiss/most any eroge based anime), they can never seem to actually hold with the same level of the original work, which confuses me to no end.

my guess is the ones they crank up needed it to make sure they get the rating they wanted. The ones that crank it down already have a solid fanbase and don't need it.
Yeah, so I just watched it, looks like decent fanservice, but REALLY cheesy plot and story and just about everything. Dunno if it will be worth watching for anyone other than oppai fanatics like The Jesus.

Also, she's in the OP. Actually, I think the fanservice maintains the same 'ratio' as the manga. It's just that this episode sped through the 'prologue' and ended close to the end of chapter 1. An entire chapter of the 'prologue' was also cut out, fanservice included.
@ ultenth: I might be a breast fanatic, since I read the manga and it has nipples. Aside from that though, the anime looks like it has decent animation.
