When the Nendoroid Mini-Ika (if there's one...) comes out I'm buying it.

Yes! The last part of episode 5 was definitely epic, and I want a little Ika of my own. It was definitely sad at the end, though, with Chibi Ika dying alongside an older version of Eiko. I could have watched a whole series of that story developing, though. It was definitely my favorite part so far.

The other two parts were good, too, even if they were overshadowed by the 3rd. It was cute to see Ika act like an alien, but then as soon as she couldn't eat shrimp anymore, she immediately revered back. It was also fun to watch Ika explore the school in the second part, and I laughed when she kept on trying to compare it to a military camp. I also laughed when Ika almost took over the school, but with one swift scolding by Eiko, it was all over.

I don't think Chibi Ika dies though... Didn't it say that she has a life span of 150 years?

Well yea, I guess I feel the same way. The fact that she didn't die added more to the emotional impact I suppose. I would say that it would be less depressing if she actually died with Eiko cause they would be dying together and Ika wouldn't be crying by herself.

Just watched episode 7, and I thought it was pretty cool.
Spoiler:
It was neat to see Nagisa almost begin to trust Ika Musume, but right when she was going to shake hands with her, she chicked out. I'm wondering if Ika is going to keep on trying to scare her, after trying to be friendly, or just give up a go with the flow?

The second part, with Cyndi and the rest of the alien show, was kind of neat, although a little bit repetitive at times. Wish it had more wacky experimentation jokes rather than word play.

The third part of episode was definitely the best part, though. The Southern Winds girl was really cute to watch, and I wish she was a permanent member of the restaurant. However, the real charm was Ika Musume working for Southern Winds. I loved seeing her perform on stage, and her drumming was epic. I wonder if she can play any other instruments?

And I laughed at the last line of dialogue in the episode: "Why do I have to be good at everything but invading?"

"The official blog of the Shinryaku! Ika Musume (Squid Girl) television anime series has announced on Monday that the fifth and sixth Blu-ray Disc/DVD volumes will include "Mini Ika-Musume" side-story episodes. The fifth volume will ship on April 20, 2011, and the sixth will ship on May 18, 2011."
