It would be hard to go too far wrong given the choices - though Kaede would scare me. Yeah, her guilt over how she treated Rin might make her anxious to please, but as the series showed - if she ever feels threatened or betrayed, its psycho time.
Nerine would have to be my first choice of the girls, she's hot, and seems willing to please (and there's that whole polygamy things going on with her and Sia). But given complete leeway - it would have to be Nadeshiko - damn she's hot!

I adored Kaede. A bit over the top, obviously, but it also made her more dynamic than any of the other heroines. She had a past, she had hate, she had loathing and in the end all she was trying to do was rectify it all.
I don't mind the way that choosing Asa was handled in the visual novel, but I didn't appreciate the lack of reasoning behind choosing her in the anime. I mean, it was nice to get a better understand of Asa and her pain, but what did that really have to do with Rin? Not a whole lot.
But, then again, that's a lot of bias just because I like Kaede. That and the fact that I much preferred the dubbed version of Shuffle, and as a result Kaede was voiced by one of my favorite VA's - Carrie Savage.

I would have all of them:D But if I had to choose I would go with Asa, she actually has a personalty, and isn't BAT SHIT CRAZY!

Im having a hard choice between Narine and Asa.
Narine is so smart, she had that nice attitude that i wasnt expecting from a the daughter of the lord of hell. Even if she couldnt cook thats ok, because i would cook for her which is fun, and all her magical power makes it scary (in an exciting way), and i LOVE how her ears are just way longer. Gotta love those physical features.
Asa is so outgoing, has that tom boy attitude i like in girls. Her back story is so sad and touching and it makes you feel for her! i also like her short hair!

tough choice but I liked him taking Asa as a swerve, most anime like this you get stuck with the boring lame main girl but Asa was a great choice. Primula was an annoying boring loli. Nerine never got enough development to be interesting. Sia was nice but she was kinda being forced as main girl for a bit. I liked Kaede even if she was batshit crazy.
personally I would have took Asa or possibly Kaede. maybe Sia. actually I'm lazy so honestly I probably would have picked a more proactive girl like Kaede or Sia. he had to work to get Asa.
their fathers the kings of gods/demons kind of encouraged polygamy though, so if I took Asa, Kaede, Sia and Nerine nobody would have really minded I don't think. I had no interest at all in Primula though. I think Kaede and Sia/Nerina had the best h scenes in the game

Id go Nerine mainly because I was touched by the way she`d back me up. She destroyed half the fucking gym at school and that was `holding back` her powers. (How freaking cute is that) ^____^
But im also a lolicon loving bastard so Primulas definately Hnnnnnnnngggggg!! Also the way she quietly went about her business and made that medicine. Aaaaaah sweet! :D
