Voila, Strike Witches ended, and I'm now feeling really sad as it may definitely be the last ep we'll ever see .__. .

Just caught the last episode, and I gotta say, Strike Witches is one of the few anime that can make the transition from lighthearted to deadly serious and make it work.
I'm really hoping that the "more Strike Witches" that was promised is a new series focusing on the 504th. They seem to be passing the torch to them.

"The Nico Nico Live stream of "Nico Nico Daikaigi 2010 Aki ~Sore wa Lock ka?~" has announced on Thursday that production on a theatrical film version of the Strike Witches franchise has been green-lit. Humikane Shimada, the original illustrator of Strike Witches, confirmed the announcement and posted on his Twitter account that there will "probably" be information on the project in Kadokawa Shoten's Nyantype magazine on Saturday."
I'm wondering how this will work, since the ending of season 2 was pretty clear cut. Maybe it will be a prequel, or all about another group of witches? Either way, I'm excited. :)

Really hope its a new cast of girls or a side-story that happened somewhere in the midst of the first two seasons. Either way we're getting some good doujins out of this! :D

I agree. Even though I love the first cast, some fresh faces wouldn't hurt, and that was kind of hinted at in the last episode as well.

Whatever they do with it, it's bound to be interesting.
I'm hoping to see more focus on some other characters, myself.
