Umineko no Naku Koro ni

Really my loli loving heart is aching with discussion about this series, I would love the put my take on this in, but I have read substantial amounts of the manga therefor I know certain things coming and for the record, Battler in the manga does in fact point out Maria's strange behavior (unfortunately only to himself) and I don't care for anything you all say I will love Maria's character till the very end nano desu, and yes it's true that some characters 'recovery' from the 6 sacrifices does seem quite quick, but like Battler pointed out, the he's to angry to be sad, Georges reaction is the most fitting, the guys a mess nano desu, keep in mind that the only one's who should be sad are the children, the servant's knew sacrifices where needed etc, and George's parents specifically Eva gave her thoughts on the matter nano desu

They got me with the OP and scared me at Ep2 i recommended it to my friend and he thought it was piece of crap but when i urged him to continue on to ep2 :D everything changed

I really like the OP as a whole, but I like the music especially. The melody is much like many of the Hymmnos songs from Ar Tonelico. Also, I actually find Maria less annoying now that she's stopped "Uuuuuuuu!"-ing all over the place.

@ Das: Well, this show is set up similar to Higurashi with arcs. It seems that this arc is mainly to set up the basic plot for each arc and establish the characters. Further character development will probably be shown in further arcs. I do feel like this arc is a bit of a rush job and I have many of the same concerns you do. We can only hope that further arcs will help mitigate these concerns.

The character development is one of the two biggest problems of this adaptation, the second being that everything is waaaaay too rushed. Scenes between



Felt completely unnatural, for instance. The boob scenes in the first episode actually took place in the sn, but not like that ! The whole point of them was to put us in the head of Battler, and unfortunately they entirely cut off the hilarious monologue of Battler. It's a shame...

I will sound like a retarded fanboy but stop spoiling yourselves and go read the Sound Novels. The feeling is just different.

Episode 4 is just too fuckin hilarious.

First there was the brave and gallant Kanon with the proverbial "machete" in hand and his roulette nonsense...


Then, we not only have one but two characters infatuated with their mere family's servants... how laughable is that, considering their prominent status, and not to mention that they don't too oftenly see them.

Third, when the 4 who stayed locked up in the room came running down to check up on things; while Jessica's mom (Natsuhi if I'm not mistaken) was still holding the shotgun, Battler came running down holding a candlestick -stand (whatever it's called) for a weapon...!? :lol: -I'm not saying that it's stupid considering their circumstance but nonetheless, I find it funny.

Another was that old coot who was still able to laugh under the situation that they're all in. It was her last anyway, thank God.


With all due seriousness, I'd rather have the her back then. She's amusing just like that unlike now that she's become nothing but an obnoxious little brat who can never do anything without pissing me off.

Let me clarify however that even if I'm sounding like I'm in a hating Maria crusade, I'm fully aware of her importance in the series.


And here I thought that I managed to clearly express the same concerns to Das (in a casual and jokingly fashion) but I guess Zero, in a more deliberate tone, did better.

Just want to point out, it's obvious that the song would be like a hymnos song rfom ar Tonelico since Akiko Shikata is the singer and also the voice song for Misha in Ar Tonelico. and she also does some songs in Ar Tonelico 2 with Haruka Shimotsuki and Yuko Ishibashi. and Most of their "other" songs are made just like that.

She is only annoying for me .... i want to hit her ...


This was the best part for me.

And after I see the end of episode 4 I must think on Blair witch project.

But i love the speed of the anime.
And i love the opening and ending music have someone the full part ?

I have a very crazy theories that Kanon, Shannon and Nanjo are the murder...
But hell yea i am sure wrong like all times ^^
Its the same by Conan ... i hit only 20 % the right guy and all other times i am totally wrong .. ^^

Ok I will explain why ... ^^

First Nanjo is the Doctor he can easy manipulation evidence.
And he has the same physique then Hideyoshi.
If you change the hair color and shave a little bit they look nearly same if you smashed the Face from Hideyoshi.

Nanjo can easy say that Kanon is dead and all trust him he is the Doctor ;)
And who is dead you suspect at last.
I don t saw that Kanon die i have only see that he was wounded and this not realy so strong that i would say you die by this.

Shannon is very familiar to Kanon (Brother and Sister ?)
You can easy exchange her with a corpse and put on the hand the ring that all know it is true Shannon.

But this only a speculation.. ^^

You don't say ... I knew it was the same singer, but was unaware that her other songs sounded like that. I'll be sure to check them out now.

So is this a good watch so far because hearing the plot reminded me of a similar mystery murder story like this. Forgot what it was but had to do with dummies of each family member and how each dummy disappears and is depicted of getting killed is how the real person dies.

The people in ep 4 were as stupid as they were hilarious.
Kanon aside (serves you right for stepping out of role and getting emotional/talkative all of a sudden!), the highlight of the week for me was Jessica. Not only did she present a totally possible and all-explaining theory about the most-recent murders but she even began to wonder whether Maria got a bit strange recently (only took her 10 deaths and 3.5 episodes too). That blond hair is there for a reason I tell ya.
Battler (while still silly) gained some points this week. Next time you beat the loli, use a baseball bat though dude. Pretty please.
The maid-fucker (his name still eludes me for some reason) was awesome as well in the way he expressed his despair upon discovering a certain corpse. Makes me wonder whether he's a necrophile or simply loved them tits so much.

I hear big shit's going down next week so I expect them to pull off a deus ex machina of some sorts and bring some people back. If not then the rest of the series is gonna be halla uninhabited ...
