Upcoming anime for end of 2008 and year 2009

Check out http://randomc.animeblogger.net/2008/10/24/the-daily-dose-18/ for the latest info of upcoming anime, and discuss. There are some huge things to note, which was why I thought it was worth bringing this up in a thread.

Several things to note: (Of my interest)
1. There's going to be a second season of Fullmetal Alchemist. (OMGWTFWTHHOLYSHIT#@42#%!!) Yea you heard me. I have no idea what they're going to show since I thought the movie the Conquerer of Shambala ended the series quite well. I'm waiting for this, and this surprised me the most.

2. Hajime no Ippo is getting a second season worth after 76 episodes and 2 OVAs. (OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!) Awww yeah. I'm eagrly waiting for this.

3. Black God the manga is getting an anime adapation - hell yea, the manga had great art and interesting story line.

4. Street Fighter IV is getting an anime adaption; I think it's a movie, and I'm anticipating this since I like the Street Fighter franchise. (Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and Cammy ftw!)

5. Spice and Wolf's getting a second season, Minami-ke is getting a third season, Koihime Musou's getting an OVA, and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu Haruhi-chan, Churuya-chan is getting anime shorts.

6. KissxSis is getting an anime adaption, probably an OVA - bring on the incest. *Mmmm*

I'm just totally flabbergasted by the new season of FMA - caught me totally unaware. At least I knew Hajime no Ippo was coming out with a new season since I keep up with the manga, and I'm totally hyped up about it.

There are also many other series that I've never heard of, but we've got the Sunrise and Gonzo release, so I'll wanna see how they turn out.

I can't believe know one is mentioning Hatsukoi Limited, come on guys!

It's in the post, but I was never liked Ichigo 100%. Notice that I mentioned things of my interest, but seems like no one else wants to talk about it.

I wonder if Hatsukoi Limited ain't as headaching as Ichigo 100%, I might give it a try.

I'm looking forward to the new series of FMA since I read the manga regularly. I'm not sure how they're going to do it though. They can't continue from where the original anime series ended, and they can't start the series over again, or everyone will be bored for a couple of months. We'll just wait and see.

@ShaggyJebus: Tell me, since I'm curious, where does the anime match up in the manga? I believed that the FMA movie was a completely original idea, so I'm definitely intrigued by how they're going to animate this second season. I'm probably thinking they'll bring back the same seiyus like Paku Romi and our resident tsundere Kugimiya Rie.

Well, the anime and the manga match up very well, up to a certain point (only the anime has some stuff that wasn't in the manga, like the phantom thief episode). That's why they can't just start at the beginning with this second series.

At a certain point, however, the anime starts telling its own story. This is probably because it had caught up to the manga but wanted to have an ending. The little kid homunculus Wrath in the anime series isn't in the manga at all, and neither was the main villain, Dante. Seriously, from some episode on, for the rest of the anime series and the movie, there is no similarity between the anime and the manga. This means that most of this second series, if they follow the manga, will be completely new to people who don't read the manga.

Also, where's my Ashita no Yoichi anime? I could've sworn I heard news about it debuting this year.

I thought FMA 2 was a false lie or at least will be saved for later date.

FMA season 2 was confirmed in some ad in the FMA manga. It's coming, for sure. It may be a while, but it shouldn't be too long.

So it's going to pick up around where the chinese people joined in huh?
