They sure emphasized on keeping Welkin captive for the first episode, and I like the way they incorporated Susie in there too, oh Susie you pacifist. :oops:

A few changes but still keeping the original story. Well...its not like there's much of a story in the first 10 minutes of a game right?

I've fallen in love with it. Especially with the opening animation. Susie is too damn cute at the begining. Can't wait to see the tank battle.

I was curious enough to check this series out as I had heard of the game but never played it. (360 owner here)

The animation style is interesting (esp. the shading) and based on the game art I have seen, it's clear the anime visual style is following relatively close to the game. I can't say much about the current story as I'm not familiar with the game plot, though it seemed to start off slow. (Then again, it's the first ep.)

Admittedly:

Yeah, the art style definitely tries to portray that which the game uses, which goes to show the effort they made in the anime. So episode 1, great so far hope the series goes well.

Going by the game, the first epi was the tutorial stage.

I never knew the anime was based on a game, until I tried the latter out at my friend's place recently. Still, the lack of fanservice (or so I think) saddens me. :D

How does the anime compare to the game, and vice versa, for those who have watched and played both?

Seriously, what's wrong with that guy (Welkin)? He pisses me off. He's too carefree and what I hate the most are guys who can't/don't honestly act upon their feelings. Poor Faldio... it's so obvious that his love for Alicia will never be reciprocated.

Also, regarding the fact that they've decided to keep quiet about the kidnapping incident, I was wondering, how can they possibly rest assured that such an attempt will never happen again (esp when the culprit is just right there)? In any case, they've got such a frail and unlively princess... It definitely must be tough for any young girl at that age to be wearing all of those garments and worrying about the entire country's well being at the same time.

Btw, episode 13 has already been sub'd. I think I'll pass watching it for next week but anyway, seems like someone's gonna get raped...

I'm pondering if it's an act of mutiny. Maxillian's older brother isn't too happy with him. Also, I'm wondering if Maxillain's subordinates are there to stop the kidnapping. Remember one of them warned Alicia that something was about to go down.

Decided to pick this thing up after dropping Teas to Tiara yesterday. So far so good. At my current pace I should catch up with you guys by ... tomorrow ^_^
