Valkyria Chronicles

I liked a few changes in this episode compared to the game:
- In the game, you never really see Welkin show remorse for Isara's death, in the anime he feels a lot less carefree and a lot more human (still carefree nonetheless, but it's much better)
- You could see Faldio getting in some good ol' sniping practice ahead of time =)

There were a few changes that I didn't really like though:
- No Shamrock??
- The battle seemed forced - we get 1-2 minutes of fighting, and then half an episode of Welkin mourning - not that I'm against him mourning, but Bruhl was one of my favorite battles in the game, and it was practically skipped.
- Zaka driving the Eidelweiss? I don't know why, but it just doesn't seem to suit him...

Overall, I think the anime has been wonderfully done so far, especially when they try to involve other squad members, although I wish they would do that a little bit more.

I had to play through the first 10 chapters twice because of the rental, then the purchase, so I grew rather fond of all the characters in this game. Especially Isara. Nobody could bring her down and I really admired that.

I've played games that killed main characters before, like Aeris in FFVII just to name the big one, but when Isara was killed out of left field, I was devastated. Like I damn near slid into a depression devastated. Laugh if you want, but I couldnt pick up the controller for 2days while trying to come to grips with the events that happened. The story writers did something to touch my heart, and while I applaud them for it, I dont want to feel that feeling again.

I just love Maximillion's tank, Ubercool. Hope Damon gets killed in a really gory wa. ate that guy.

I mean after all squad 1 has bitten the dust, and alica got shot which i was totally surprised and caught off guard with. I think in all honesty if welkin finds out that alica's been shot hes going to have another emo fit like he did when isera died. But I have a feeling that alica is going to be saved at like the last minute due to her valkyrin roots, and turn the tides of battle in there favor. Also i dont know if its just me but it seems that alica is being set up to be some lost succesor of the throne or something. Cause if im correct the current queen has shown no signs of being able to use the valkyrie shield and spear, but maybe im speaking too soon about the queen/princess theory. In the end alica just might be plain simple a valkyrie by chance but i highly doubt it. Anyways i get the feeling that we are going to definatly see some kick ass moments in the upcoming episodes.

Prob thats why we see Alicia in the opening with the valkyre objects against Selvaria
