What Anime/Manga Dissappointed You?

The thing I loved about Shuffle! was that it is only harem anime I've seen where the girl the protagonist ends up with was not obvious. Hell, I just get sick of all the harem anime where the guy just says "I love everyone!" and nothing gets resolved.

Now Shuffle! Memories is the real disappointment. Absolutely no new content until the last episode. I still don't see how re-editing a 24 episode anime down to 12 episodes really accomplishes anything.

You got to admit Lacus is the most manipulative bitch you'll ever see.

1.Used her father's political figure to become a star
2.Use her Underdeveloped body to seduce 2 incredibly powerful emos
3.Allied with the daughter of Orb Leader
4.Use the emos to blast her way through the galaxy and took control as supreme leader of the universe

Only got one on the top of my mind as truly disappointing.

Tsukihime anime. While it wasn't all that bad I guess, the fact they didn't adapt Akiha's arc just turned me the fuck off :\

Especially with it being one of the only arcs I liked, and it had far more emotion in it than the others.

Tenjou Tenge was probably the biggest disappointment, but only because it showed such promise at the start.

My least favorite anime now and forever will always be Evangelion

I would say that the only anime adaptation to ever truly disappoint me is Haruhi. The first season was so strong and I loved to watch it on a weekly basis in my anime club back in my freshmen year in college, but because of that stupid Endless Eight nonsense, I've lost a lot of interest in the franchise. I'm hoping that interested can be rekindled someday, however.

For me, I honestly gotta say Deathnote.
I read that there were only like 37 episodes or something like that back when i was watching it weekly on Adult Swim and it was on the second to last episode and they left on a cliffhanger where you had no clue how it was gunna end ..... than i watched it ..... it made me feel empty and i couldn't sleep for like a week ..... that ending had a worse effect on me than my gf of two yrs breaking up with me XD

Inuyasha. The Anime.

I mean, I put up with 166 fucking episodes of that show for NO FUCKING CONCLUSION.

Also, Rurouni Kenshin. Really, that anime should have ended after Shishio was killed; it was so climactic, and then the rest of it was down-hill drama-wise. The last episode just made me want to light my computer on fire.

Also: Full Metal Alchemist. I watched the entire thing and the movie (subbed) expecting a better ending than I got. I mean, really. Really. What the fuck.

And finally, having been keeping up with the Negima manga, the anime saddened me deeply. All the girls got substantially less cute and there was less fan service. Oh, and the story too. Yeah. That too. Cut out huge portions and then stopped before they got anywhere near some of the coolest stuff. *sigh*.

I read somewhere the Viz rebought the rights to inuyasha and plan on finishing the anime. But idk if its true or not.

Code Geass with the death of two certain people, it wasn't done that well IMO. It was like they just were trying to find a way to fit in people dying.

I also agree with Shuffle. Kaede had such a better and more complex character in the anime but then the ending ruinied it!!! WHY! it bothers me to even think about it!!!

I also didn't like the F/SN Fate ending. It was like the good ending in UBW was a better ending for the Fate arc.

I don't get why people didn't like the Art in the Fate Manga though.

Shuffle! anime
I played the VN first and saw it. I really did not like it because anime changed way too much from VN. Only characters and setting was the same and plot was totally different.

Ys/Ys II OVA
I don't know how many people know this anime. These are animes based from a game series titled Ys. It is one of my favorite game series and anime version totally messed it up.

Neon Genesis Evangelion
It was pretty good but ending was really confusing. End of Evangelion was really weird to follow. If it was a little bit more clear to understand, it would be much better.

Negima anime
Did not like how they ended the first season. Second season was just totally irrelevant from original.

Fate/Stay Night
Did not like Saber arc in the first place. And on top of that, they messed up and mixed up the storylines.

Manga like "Hot Gimmick" and "bitter virgin" left much to be desired. Hot Gimmick in particular was frustrating to read cause the chic ended up falling for the guy that was trying to rape/dominate her. It's manga like that which makes me not surprised why there are so many single mothers in this country (althoug comparing fiction to reality seems rather silly).

On topic, the Claymore anime disappointed me. When you can predict everything that happens in the first episode, you know it doesn't bode too well. Death Note was also a disappointment. Multifaceted characters are interesting, so L was an interesting character, but the moment Light said, "I will be the god of the new world!" a lot of possibilities were closed and he became a one-dimensional evil villain.

Edit: Also, the Kurokami and Index animes. Kurokami diverted from the story and made the main character exceptionally useless. In Index's case, it was the combination of excessive talking, justice babbling, and just poor writing all around. Example of excessive talking is the bridge episode. Example of justice babbling is the talk between Touma and Kaori. Example of poor writing is the Angel Fall arc. Touma's father coincidentally sets up a spell from his item collection that causes an angel to fall to earth. The angel needs to destroy the world (or something like that) to return to heaven. Touma can't just kill the spell with his right hand for fear of coincidentally triggering a even bigger problem.

Yup. Inuyasha will be coming out this fall, and viz already picked up the license for it.

anime's that disappoint me? let me count the many....

Negima: VERY DISAPPOINTED!! i read the manga and was enjoying the show, up till they completely got off the rocker and went a different way from the manga. I wanted to see martial arts master Negi, not some emo story about Asuna dying from a curse (never happened in the manga either!!!)

Air Gear: this time its because they stopped the show right at the point where everything seemed to be growing with Ikki and his team... thus forcing me to buy the manga to get how things end.

Tayutama: one of my peeves about a show is when they make it so two characters love each other so much, yet due to some unforeseen consequence they aren't able to stay together. This show hit that peeve, and was promptly disposed of.

that's some of the more recent ones, if anything else pops up ill be sure to add it to my "list"

Gotta Agree With Air Gear And Tayutama. And When It Shows The Epilogue Of Like How Ever Many Years When They Show Them Together Again It Was A Rip Off. Should Have Never Ended It That Way. Air Gear Was Just Plain Disappointment. I Dont Want To Talk About It.
