What is your first Anime + The show that got you hooked?

So for example my first anime was Dragonball, not sure which one (as I was quite young at the time) though I think it was Z. Though this did not get me into anime it was Naruto on Cartoon Network a year or two later that got me interested as at the age I was at the time super awesome ninjas was the best thing ever but Cartoon Networks scheduling was so strange and obscure that I never saw much of it so one day I searched on the internet and found out you could watch it online so I promptly watched about a dozen or so episodes a day and have been into anime ever since so for about 6-7 years I guess. So what about you when did you get into anime?

Dragonball of course. Loved the epic fighting scenes that were almost 3-4 episodes long.

Rurouni Kenshin (they called it Samurai X here, and gave separate subtitles to the OVAs later).

Digimon, I love love that series when it came out. Pokemon came second since it was basically the same episode over and over again.

Pokemon...I feel no shame in saying I still play the games sometimes too.

As far as I can remember, Pokemon.

Watched Speed Racer as my first anime, even though I didn't know it was actually anime back then. When I knew about "anime" as in "animation from Japan," it was FLCL that got me into it even though I watched many anime before that, but I was ignorant.

Well, I can remember watching Voltron and Knights of the Zodiac, but that was with my siblings and I didn't even know what was going on. The first Anime I watched and I actually knew it was anime would have been... Pokemon, Dragonball Z, or Sailor Moon... I can't remember which one I saw first.

I think mine has to be either Sailor Moon or Dragonball Z...one of those two got me hooked.

I don't remember the show i first saw anime from... it was on scifi in 1994 and it was a movie, my addiction started with dbz and love hina.

I think i forgot it but maybe Love Hina or Rosario + Vampire!

There is no shame in playing a critically-acclaimed series. Black and White are amazing games, as are the older ones, including the Gen I games. Kinda makes me wonder what an R-rated Pokemon would be like. Like, a world where you had to be 18 or older to be a trainer, for the same reason age limits exist in the first place.

OT: Along with Rurouni Kenshin, I'd like to add Ninku and Ninja Senshi Tobikage to my own list.

My first was Princess Mononoke... Such a great movie.

my first was er.... hmmm i think its Dragon ball, and then i start liking pokemon and collecting all the figures 150 type off old pokemon. and then digimon maybe, playing the digivice is cool...

What opened my eyes completely to anime was Vandread and Love Hina, ahh I can still remember how much of a bitch it was to Download just 1 episode of Love Hina back then... Dial-Up sucked!!
