What Was Your First Anime?

I just joined Fakku today, and this is my first thread. So if i did anything wrong tell me =)

Well my question for the coolest anime community out there is this: What was youre first anime, and did you enjoy it?

Mine were InuYasha and Cowboy Bebop back on Adult Swim in like 2004. I thought InuYasha was ok, but i really fell in love with Cowboy Bebop! It was just so cool and retro that it blew my mind. Ive seen like 86 anime now but its still my fav =)

Akira, when I was 11 or 12. Was not entirely cool with the sex/violence at the time, so it didn't exactly give a good impression.

First anime I liked was Ranma 1/2 when I was 15. Prior to that I thought the anime had bad animation and was nothing but stupid mecha action. Ranma was the first anime to draw me in from the comedy aspect.

Well, its good to see that other people are answering my thread =)

I thought for awhile and i actually believe Ive never seen Ranma 1/2.

If you're bored there's a dedicated site to streaming ranma 1/2. That show holds a special place in a lot of people's hearts, I recommend watching the first season and the OVA series. The rest of the show is tedious filler crap.

I consider Mahou Sensei Negima my first anime series but if we were to venture further back in time it may have been Sailor Moon. I don't know really. Negima got me into anime so I say Negima.

oh the first must have have been Cyborg 009 or Blue Noah in mid 80-tis , those 2 where first shows I watched.

Galaxy Angel, when i was around 11-13

One of the Vampire Hunter D movies. I saw it on TV. It wasn't till years later that I even knew what anime was.

Samurai pizza cats, when I was like 3 or 4, i had hardley remembered the theme song until one day all the memory built up and i remembered the lyrics and found out the true name.
I think i have the first 25 episodes pirated on DVD.

Oddly enough, that was one of my first couple shows too =)

I'm sure thread like this already exist... but I'll answer here anyways.

My really first anime was Doraemon. Watched it when I was 6-7 years old, good memories...

... Superpig, I think. Had no idea what was going on, what the why is that schoolgirl turning into a pig, wait what?

Cowboy Bebop.

Yeah, I started late but at least I started on something good.

Old school stuff: Crying Freeman on vhs tapes.

The Tenchi Move; I watched that Thing on the "SI-FI(Sy-Fy now)" network as well as several others they do on whatever sunday they did. I just remember that one the most and dreaming hardcore of Ryoko. God those were the days..
