What's all this talk about Clannad?

no offense but, this is really the second most ridiculous reason for not watching clannad that i know of. seriously you don't know what you're missing...for such a petty reason.

Both seasons together can quite easily be described by the following phrase: fuckin' amazing.

Something else I got from Clannad that most other series don't seem to have is despite its use of supernatural elements, it has a certain feeling of reality. I don't even know how to describe it... I guess it's because the characters all feel very "alive" and easy to relate to. You don't find yourself having to suspend disbelief like you do with that majority of titles.

I definitely agree with you on that. I felt like any of girls...hell...even Sunohara and Tomoya could have been my childhood friends. They really grew up a lot over the series two seasons.

Is it really that amazing? because at first I thought it was just another eye candy anime (like kanon) ... but if it has depth like all of you say, I really should try it... I've always liked a good tear jerker...

Luckily, My friend still has it on his hardrive...

the first? because she's annoyed with the very first scene of nagisa and tomoya, in the very first episode. also with the dango daikazoku song.

That sounds very irritating. The first scene might seem a little strange at first, but it's so perfect if you've seen the whole anime.

I just managed to get my little sister to start watching it earlier today, and she seems to really enjoy it. She just finished the Fuko arc.

I thought that the first scene with Nagisa and Tomoya was a little bit odd, but charming at the same time, and kept me hooked cause I wanted to know more about this girl who shouts out random words. Maybe that was just me. *shurgs

yeah, it was quite strange for me too at first, but now that i finished the whole anime...that scene somehow feels so deep now. i wonder what's this complex feelings i get when i revisited that scene...

and well...to those who thinks clannad is the anime for emo people...let's just pity them. they just don't know what they're missing.
