WHY!?

Why is it that the most beautiful girls in the anime never get the guy? It pisses me off beyond belief because the main character can have his pick and yet he always chooses the girl with the short hair and or small breasts and she's also usually week and simply put; nothing in comparison to the others.

Well, thats your opinion on who's the most beautiful. Anyways, I think the trend is not to pick the most beautiful as a lesson, there's usually a reasonthat defeates beauty. Its usually pretty obvious who the main char ends up with, the one he is closest with, not the prettiest

Yeah, I've only watched the first but I mean COME ON. It was pretty darn obvious.

That show was also targeted at a specific audience in my opinion, so it's not really surprising. Personally, I was never a fan of the other 2 girls anyway.

I agree TORADORA was so obvious it was even in the fucking title but still, i can't help but resenting the choice.

For ichigo 100% it was a toss up until the very end... i hate indecisive male characters... they piss me off beyond belief. My favorite and the girl that was the obvious favorite for so long was the bookworm. The story started because of her and yet she wasn't the chosen one? WTF!?

CLANNAD; also the obvious choice but i hate the soft spoken weak girls... if you're so sick why don't you just die already!

Honestly, I got so pissed off at Ichigo 100% that i sulked for a week.
She's the whole reason this manga started, she's the cliche typical main girl, and yet, WTF! I mean, come on, was the mangaka serious??

It is one of the rare fews whose ending is totally different from what you would expect

I can agree on number 1 and 3 however 2....false the guy did end up with the best looking one. By the way if you want the other girls for clannad watch the OVA's or play the visual novels,

They just design bunch of hot characters then throw a dart while blindfolded to choose the main heroine.

In Clannad, there were 3 episodes (if I remember well) when the Tomoya got together whit someone else than the sick chick (sorry, desen't remember the name of her) -_-"

I don''t know what to say about 1 and 2 (I haven't seen those animes yet), but Clannad???... WTF I agree all the characters make the series special in their own ways, but Nagisa, besides being my ideal concept of a girl, is in no way weak... In fact she's very strong willed BECAUSE she's ill and still has the strength to carry on and always smile and kindly help those in need, always putting others before herself... Now, today most people don't care about the one next to them, and would even less do so should they have a health condition such as Nagisa's... oh, and did I mention she never ceased to follow her dream, despite the obstacles she's faced?... most teenagers in that situation would have given up, even without any sickness to worry about.

True, she's had Akio and Sanae (the best pair of parents I've ever seen, in real life or anime)from the start and Okazaki, but she's been strong even before she met him, and he's given her impulses to be better. Sure she may need motivation, but who doesn't :D... and I hardly see people being motivated by the possibility to selflessly help others.

And i'd even add, that's what eroges are for. Don't go for the flat chest route!
And indeed, it's not that i hate Nagisa or Taiga but i've always found their respective sub-heroines way better than them.

Nagisa > Kyou > Tomoyo > Kitomi. In that order.

Why? Personality > Looks.
