You cannot complain about how the ending that the writer has decided, the only thing you can do is Enjoy and treasure the moment about the girl that you liked best

As much as I like to complain about Ichigo 100%, I seriously believe the mangaka is a genius
I think this is the 1st Romance story that the main male character didn't end up with the female that is most favored to be with him

Actually i gotta take that back, i don't mind Taiga and Louise being the main heroine despite their looks, they were tsunderes so i was pretty positive as for the outcome of the story.

about Nagisa in Clannad, She's the main Character, of course Tomoya ends up with her, as it also happens in the VN, that's why there's the True route involving Nagisa. Kyoani and KEY has made the anime exactly as it is. nothing changed from the original. They only made the Tomoyo after because of popular demand and that includes the Tomoyo after episode. IMO, the Kyou After, is just a cow cashing episode, just for short orgasms for the fan boys.
I really never understood the "I hate this character for (variable)"syndrome, can't we just all agree to watch something enjoy it and don't hate it because of something so trivial that you even don't have the power to change it.

Pff, i wrote a novel to respond to the post above this one, but unfortunately FAKKU went down for unknown reasons and everything was deleted, now i'm pissed D:.
I just wanna say that it's not wrong to express how we feel about something we don't approve of. We already don't have the power to change an anime plot, so please give us the freedom to express our dissatisfaction xD.
But like i already said, the anime of Clannad was perfect in every way, plot-wise especially. I cried (kinda) at the end! But i just don't feel 100% satisfied with Nagisa, but again, that's just how i feel.

You are completely right, Clannad was beautiful in too many ways to count. Nagisa is a beautiful character filled to the brim with the best intentions.
Personally, my preference in anime girls are the evil (shut off, cold, strong but emotionally there) ones who have a good side deep inside that gets brought up by the main character or the girl whose body i find the most attractive.
I understand that this is a matter of preference.
I understand that there is a reason why.
But I'm a die hard fan of Tomoyo. And for that reason, i created this thread. So that others who are aggravated by the choices of main characters from any series can post about their aggravation here.
I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes, so I'd just like to earnestly thank whoever gave me minus rep because without you i wouldn't have felt the need to write this message.

example 2: Satsuki was too hot, besides it's not that he was her type, it's that there were already two people that knew him better (with one of them being a childhood friends, that alone is what prevents her)
example 3: Nagisa is an airhead and poor sick and not to mention lonely soul, besides we already got two OVAs that show the "what-if's" about Tomoyo and Kyou, that and even the anime's show the stories of any other main characters

I mean, I wanted an Ami End as much as anyone, but it was impossible right from the start, so it's not like any one of us had room to build expectations. Then you add in the fact that when a person writes a romance, they create the couple first, then everyone else to facilitate that. So there's nothing to expect as the path the author wrote is the ONLY path to go on.

side note: It's hard to get a Best Minori ending..since you need to collect the right "memory items"... Haven't tried to pursue the "best" ending for Ami.
