Worst Anime OPs

I couldn't remember if there was already a topic that also pertained the the worst anime openings or not, if so sorry about that.

Anyway, I thought this would be just as funny as the favorites. What are some of the worst anime openings you know of?

My vote has to go for the season four opening of Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Arguably one of the greatest animes of all time, but the final season opening just sounds horrendous. It doesn't really fit the theme of the anime all that well, the vocalist's accent is so horrible she can't speak (nevertheless sing) in English if her life depended on it... Well listen for yourself:

Air Gear. I thought this was poorly made.


Most of it was pretty much clips of the anime in boxes or discolored... yeah that takes A LOT of effort. Then again this anime was just some fan service... nothing else.

Also: Is that a Yaoi Anime??? That OP really threw off LotGH a lot!

What Legend of the Galactic Heroes? Nah, it's a sci-fi, drama, military, epic... kinda thing. XD

You cannot tell me 46 seconds into that someone was not screaming "OMFG! HE'S GAY!" The song and the picture of all men and him putting his hand over his heart? Lol.

Haha, fair enough. Most of the OPs and EDs in the series are good, but that OP just sucks.

It just creeps me out.

Definitely not THE worst anime op but I always held a grudge towards it because even though 3 strikingly good ops preceded it (setting my expectations very high), it came off average at best. 4th and final op from Blood+.

Somehow I just don't get to like it. :|

Which is ironic. First season opening was horrible, but the second season's opening was pure win.

This song... just sucked. It's so bad.

I agree 1000% on this, the third OP was sooooo good and then they put up this sorry piece of meh... I was Disappoint...

I cant remember just ONE bad OP but I can honestly say Many OP's were fuckered thanks to Ameridubs, such as DBZ (100% electric guitar, and screaming "dragon dragon dragon ball z" is bleh...) and One piece are the first that come to mind...



I prefer Original Jap OP...

I'm going to nominate the Negima OP... Okay, I get it. There are a lot of girls. DO SOMETHING INTERESTING.

But then, compared to the manga, the anime sucked too.

While I will say it is pretty average, I hold a special place in my heart for Busou Renkin. It was the first anime I watched after a long two year drought. I remember watching it and thinking it was bad ass, but then I realized it was totally a result of my drought. XD

You what I think is sad about anime OP? The production value of the OP is usually far greater than that of the series episodes in terms of animation. They also show things that never happen in the series either. Basically I hate anime OP that is not indicative of what the show really is.
