Not as much as Nagisa's/Ushio's but I still found this scene touching and excellently composed.

@Das: that vid made me remind how pathethic Sunohara really was... I'm glad he came to his senses though.

No doubt about it. The best thing he was at was serving as a punching bag for Tomoyo/Kyou and other comic reliefs.. The scene as a whole made impact on me nonetheless (I think the biggest one in the series before you_know_what began).

The last video on the OP. From all the animes i've seen, that scene was the ONLY ONE that made me cry till this day. And that placed Clannad as my favorite anime of all time (taking KGNE out of the lead since ever).

I dunno, I found the first season worse than the second when it comes to scenes that make me cry. For example the end of Kotomi's arc, Fuuko disappearing, Nagisa and Tomoya hooking up, etc.

The worst thing about them is that they're repeat offenders :(

ANyways, ALL the sad scenes made me baw (except when Tomoya carried Nagisa when she was hit by Tomoyo's ball, and the girls finally realized that Tomoya has chosen Nagisa), but the saddest , I have to admit, that made me baw the most are these two episodes:

When, after watching the whole Fuuko route, the day of Fuuko's sisters wedding

and

When Tomoya and Ushio went back to Tomoya's hometown

Hahaha.
After I finished laughing at it 5 minutes later, it started to feel I was being an off-topic ass. If you want to, I can remind you of it's contents at any time and any hour. I'm good at that too.

The part that made me cry bucket full of tears has got to be when Fuuko finally got released from the hospital after regaining consciousness. :cry: (Why did she even have to wake up?!) - just to be clear, I cried out in frustration!

Anyway, I'm no big fan of the series as you probably know already. However, I can't deny that there's a few moments when I was really moved to tears (no matter how much I forced myself not to). The thing that probably got to me the most was the father and son revelation part (episode 18 of After Story), considering that I have my own set of issues concerning my old man. And forget about Nagisa and Ushio; I never shed a single tear as to when they kicked the bucket.

Now I'm done. You guys can now continue with whatever you were doing. Thanks for allowing me to post btw. :)

I haven't seen many people who cried at this part besides you and me. I don't know why but I just found it to be way too bittersweet. Maybe it's my Asian values I learned about parenthood?

Major kudos for your view on Fuko hermit. I'm still pissed about how much screentime was wasted on her (with a buttload of better characters to use instead).
The lack of balance between screentimes given to individual characters and the overall weak impact of season one (at least compared to season 2) is probably my greatest (only ?) complain concerning Clannad.

For me it was Season 1 episode 18.. at the end where Every1 releases Tomoya likes Nagisa and Kyou nd Ryou cry=(, Kyou was mah fav girl lol

OHHH EPISODE 18 OF AFTER STORY!!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT!! I DIED IN WATCHING THAT EP!! THAT SCENE ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY SO...SO DAMN HARD!! I-I remember the first time I watched it... I fucking had to wash mt face from the tears I shed...

There were a couple other eps like Misae's past and Tomoyo's past, eyc.
