I wanna hear from you guys what the first anime you saw was. The first REAL anime I ever saw was "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". When I say real when I was a little I saw those ones that are geared twords kids and I'm not sure if I would call them REAL anime and back then I didn't even know they were Japanese anime. And I dindn't really get involved in anime until I saw Haruhi Suzumiya. And I've only been into anime for 1 year so I haven't seen that many.
The very first was Sailor Moon in swedish dub but i was like 7 and i watched only 1 episode.
Then in November last year i was bored as FUCK and i remember a recent game review from IGN about Naruto Shippuuden(i've only heard about it before), so i gave it a chance (I'm talking about the Sub).
Before i know it i was hooked, the early december i found Fakku!, 1 week after that i opened my eyes and saw how shitty Naruto was! (I didn't turn to One piece nor Bleach)
And now i'm here!
I got into manga about one week after i watched my first Naruto episode, saw the first chapter of One Piece in the library.
And yes Antw0n the manga was in a very bad condition!
The only thing Naruto/One Piece or Bleach are good at is to attract new people to the Anime/Hentai world..
Moomin! Okay, it's not exactly REAL anime because it isn't totally Japanese (it has lot of Finnish involment but animation itself is Japanese). For an actual anime I'm quite sure that Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin was my first. It was horribly dubbed and censored yes, but still.
Was about six when Sailor Moon was airing and got excited when they transformed (true story), then Dragonball came, and now I'm 24 and still hooked up on anime (not a weeb, otaku or shit like that, though).
Would you believe my first anime was when I was about 11 and it was an anime that alot call a black sheep and some even call it Hentai... But it changed my look of the world, moulded me into an anime fan and gave my life a bit of meaning when I was going through a tough time :)
That anime was Legend of the overfiend and my respect for it is so big that when it was finally released to DVD about 5 or 6 years later I was one of the first people to buy a copy...a copy I still have today as well would you believe? :D
