CLose tie between Pokemon. Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z. Where I live they were on a 2 hour block of only those four shows.

I used to watch things like DBZ and Pokémon when I was a kid but didn't know it was some crazy 'Japanese anime'. It was the first season of Koihime Musou that got me into anime, again at the time not knowing it was anime until I researched into it to find more and found more series. Now I have watched a lot of anime.

It was either Tekkaman Blade or Kagaku Ninja-Tai Gatchaman in a Spanish dub. I didn't know what anime was at the time but they were great looking cartoons. Rurouni Kenshin could be considered my first one since it was the one that sparked my interest for anime.

First was Tenchi Muyo.
It's funny because not too long ago I went back and rewatched all the Tenchi shows and truth be told, not nearly as good as I remember it being. However, it'll always have a special meaning to me because it was my very first anime.

Macross Plus! :D I remember I was in middle school at the time, and my cousin made me watch it with him for whatever reason. I had no idea what was going on, but I thought it was so cool that I shared a name with an artificial idol, haha!

My first was Fooly Cooly, (FLCL) my best friend showed it to me when I went to visit, and he let me watch the whole thing since he had it on a VHS tape.

My real first was Sailor Moon, saw it when I was like 5 or so. But the one the got me hooked on anime/manga/hentai was Kiss x Sis.

I would have to say suzuka, but I wish you would say "what was your first REAL anime" cuz if its like ALL anime it would be dragon ball but cmon who wants THAT as their first *shivers*

For me it was YuYu Hakusho. An TV channel here in Brazil had broadcast it in mid-90's (I was 6yo at that time, not sure). Probably the most epic dub I ever saw for an anime (maybe the only anime I saw which dubs were as good as the japanese dub, if not better).
