Because you're forced to follow your schedule with the preorder system.
We've been to optimistic with a lot of the dates up until now, but having all of December made it very manageable, so I think that's a good starting point. Downloads would
not come up any sooner if we had released the books in one go.
The reader is unusable with old android devices. You can't zoom with the reader.
If I could at least get a x1800 download version then we wouldn't be forced to use the reader, and wouldn't have to be online to read our porn.
If you can't use the reader, that's unfortunate, but how is option 1 better than option 2?
Option 1: Pre-orders start in December. Read and download full book in January.
Option 2: Pre-orders and chapter releases start in December. Read and download full book in January.
Also I'm not trying to be rude or anything but I dislike the idea of paying to QC the release for errors.
It's impossible to fully avoid mistakes. Even the Japanese printed books come with errors that are fixed in later revisions—this is very apparent to us, since we get updated versions of certain pages for older books. I think these three books had less (reported) mistakes combined than each of the first two books, so it's not like we rushed them out and you have to bear the brunt of the QA.
"So why did you pre-order?" you might ask. Well because I thought it would be a lot better than this and I also had to if I wanted to use the Gold discount.
Compared to the first two releases? How is this worse? It's
the same for you (I assume you don't want to read online) and
better for others who use the reader.
If you honestly still think it's not worth the trouble to make some customers happy and give us download of individual chapters with the files that are already on the reader, hire me and I'll do it for free, I'll even delete them from the server later when the whole book is finished.
Like I said earlier, it's hard to grasp how long some of these seemingly simple things take. "I'll work for free" pops up a lot in these situations, but I doubt you would want to work a few hours each day for free.
The plan for at least the next few books is to release them chapter-by-chapter over (probably) the course of a month, and then release a download. I will harp on about getting the downloads done in time so it won't take 2 weeks next time. I don't see how this is anything but an improvement compared to how we did it for the first two books.
