This is the one I go to in my city :P I'll be going on the 27th, since the 26th i'm working. LETS ME UP YO!
edit: JACOB I NEED A FAKKU SHIRT! MUST REPRESENT FAKKU OUTSIDE THE FUCKING BOARDER YO! Through paypal / whatever :D need 1!
ACen (anime central) is my primary convention outlet. 2009 will be my 4th year. I go for a few select panels but my main reason is figures. They're good places to find rare pieces that may have stopped circulation on the internet.
Some years back from now, my dream was to go to an anime convention, but there was none in my city. So, I think in 2005 or 2006 they started making conventions here, but I was surprised to see I was not interested, and am not until today.
Nope, I have never been to one, since there aren't that many held locally. Even if there were, they will usually include some other aspects, such as toys, comics, etc.
Well i live in alaska so it's kinda hard for me to go down south for them but we do have two up here one is done by the local college anime club and we get stores from around town and even a person who apparently gos from convention to convention selling their otaku wares. then we have a second one called urora con up here i have pre ordered tickets for that and that one is held at the local convention center even though their small i easily spent over i think 1-400 dollars (bear in mind i don't have a job yet and forgot to save up) got the whole series of those who hunt elves manga same for sorcerer hunters manga again and i think a few more things so it must have been over 400 dollars oh yeah got arjuna as well. so they do have some nice stuff eve though their small.
