Fakku! Awards (Anime/Hentai/Forums)

I was just wondering what people think of holding an official anime award ceremony on Fakku once a year. I searched the forum using the keywords "anime awards" and didn't find much (at least nothing recent).

Here's a basic outline:


-Anime eligible for nomination should have a minimum of ?? votes (I'd prefer 5 votes)
-?? nominations selected for each category (I'd prefer 3 selected nominations)

I posted this as a proposal to make it an official Fakku event. I guess I should've made a poll to see who would be for or against it.

But, in all seriousness, I would wait until December to do this, since that's closer to the end of the year, or in January 2012, as a sort of wrap up for 2011. I think this is a really fun idea, though.

I know it should be held at the end of the year. I'm just proposing the idea now so ppl can take the time to prepare their nominations, and possibly watch anime they didn't watch yet (in order to compare shows with similar genres).

I like the idea of nominating different anime for a variety of awards. It'd almost be like an anime academy awards if it got serious enough and could be good fun to vote in. If you really want to give the idea a try you could always try to get in touch with Jacob and discuss it with him.

Either way, it'd be cool if it's polls would be on the front page polls. Then many users could vote and not miss out.

True, true. I'm guessing that the best place to put this would be either the specific anime section, or the anime general section.

I had this moved to the this section because I wanted to propose it as an official Fakku event (Like Mote mote battle and Gar fest)

But Fakku doesn't specialize in anime... however, a HENTAI (anime or manga, maybe both?) of the year contest would be neat. And a great way to get a basic recommendation list for newcomers. :o

Well we can include a manga and hentai section to the awards ceremony. It doesn't have to be exclusive only to mainstream anime. Though I see your point.

Good point, and that would probably allow for more participation/keep it relevant for the whole forum. I'd say have the regular anime awards and include the hentai categories.

I love this idea; I've been thinking about an annual awards for FAKKU since last year.
Why not name it "FAKKU Awards" and give the best of the best in all categories something like a golden
that would be very cool.
