Sadly, removing it has been a requirement for other Japanese publishers to even consider doing business with Fakku, and circumventing this by basically betraying them and opening a secondary service offering illegal content would most likely end with Fakku losing all trust and partnerships, including the current Wani deal.

I don't know why this is so hard for people to understand. It has to be all or nothing, you can't be halfway-legit. That period where Fakku had both was only temporary, and could only ever be so. We were lucky that it lasted as long as it did, Wani was very tolerant in my opinion.

So, I'm not happy about this. The best place I had to find my doujin n' shit is gone now, and that sucks. That said though, I get it. You've become involved enough that you want to give a bit back to all the artists who work their asses off. Full respect for that.

I don't really have $13 bucks a month to throw at porn though, so I won't be a subscriber myself. And unless you're planning on either lowering the price, or releasing anything for free on even a semi-regular basis, I probably won't be a user either. I can't imagine I'm the only one in this situation, and I bet we're all just as bummed out. I can only hope the majority of us at least also understand and respect your decision to give something back to the humongous pile of artists.

Legal is good. An entry-way for providing both the organizational system of this site with a legal way of acquiring it that gives the artists themselves actual credit and compensation for their work? Completely for it.

I will be reviewing my options with you guys. Personally, a subscription based service (which is the norm, I know) is not my ideal method of acquisition. I am particular in my tastes, and paying for things that I don't like isn't very efficient for me. Still, I love this site, and also the owners of it for their honesty and integrity. I may work something out as things develop. Long live Fakku!

Yeah, I see dozens of these new single-post accounts popping up, only to rage at the changes. It's fine if they were lurkers (I was), but they weren't part of the community then, not unless it's an alt account.

I am still amazed on how some people are still trying to make this a moral battle. I thought it should already be obvious that this is just a matter of "Is the product/service worth my money?" People are not out here to starve the poor artists, people are just here to look for a commodity and whether it's more worth than buying Dragon's Dogma on steam this month. If the product or service of the company is immensely superior, no matter how many imitators there are there will be customers. If the product is no different from what there is out there, then customers will flock at the cheaper alternative. It's not a question of morals, it's just people using/ not using their money. So instead of trying to appeal to people's emotions, authority, false authority or whatever other argumentative fallacy you intend to break why don't we have this guy draw more instead? As someone who draws too I can say that the son of a bitch is amazing, I'll be studying his art because that art style is top notch hopefully I manage to steal a bit of it after practicing for a year or two! I kid you not, seeing this guy's name was money... for now. But I still have enough for Dragon's Dogma so I guess that's something!

From memory jacob said he doesn't care too much about pirates. Something about it possibly increasing interest on the work. Seems to be people who pirate either had no interest in buying in the first place, or are looking to see if the content is worth before paying (or if there is no service, but that doesn't really count in this instance). So, in theory, some will see it and then want to come here for the full content and better quality (because there isn't a great way to save the pics). The others that keep doing it wouldn't pay for it anyway, so it's not really a loss. That's all theory though

If you have common sense, you can literally find the same content for free somewhere else that's on the sites that are charging. That is a fact.

I already read it and it dosen't change anything. I'm sure Jacob already knew the moment he posted that he's going to lose well over half his population base if not more.

I actually agree with him going legitimate but the conclusion was obvious. Fakku should of built up their infrastructure alot more. Acquired more licenses to upload more content so the subscription service would actually be worth it. I would suggest working on the Fakku Books but they're actually doing very well there in terms of release so no complaints there.

The price and selection ratio is the biggest issue along with the fact subscribers don't get any extra perks. Remember, most people probably only look at porn/hentai maybe few times a day maybe. It dosen't come close to justifying the price tag.

My suggestion. Either get a hell of a bigger collection and bring back some controversial tags or lower the price to truthfully reflect the content you are going to get.

Secondly, Subscribers should enjoy some kind of perk for being a paid member. Whatever you decide is up to you but there has to be something to set them apart.

I've been a loyal member of this site since i discovered it almost 7 years ago and frankly I'm dissapointed that its taken so long to get to this point. I envisioned Fakku as the largest distributor of hentai on the web. The free scans are what brought people such as myself to this site in tje first place..to just take it all down leaving only subscriber content left will, i think, severly cripple the site. Subsribers will stay on, obviously since they've paid, but members such as myself w_5ill more than likely stop coming around and just find another free site with a bad Interfave, just because its free. I love Fakku, don't get me wrong..i just feel that this move shouldve come with a plethora of "free" promotional pieces..simply to sate fans appetites.Also an expanded payment system wouldn't hurt at all...c'mon now who in their right mindDoesn't make much sense to me. Point is there is no fakku imitator. The Wani content is the only best available content uncensored in English. If people can't even pay for that, then it just means they don't want to pay simple as that. There is no cheaper alternative for Wani content because either they are censored in Japanese or deleted by free sites.

Point is, I think you've mistaken my use of "imitator" as replicating the actual contents of the website, meaning Wani products. Let me make it clear by stating that "imitator" here means hentai products. Because the common fan would not be at the stage of actually figuring out who the artists were or what company they work for. There may be no cheaper alternative for Wani content, but certainly there are cheaper alternative for hentai content. And as evidenced above, with the posts of some dismayed customers, would-be-customers and ex-customers, it has yet to be proven that Wani contents are enough to fuel some customers' decisions to subscribe to FAKKU. Certainly in a few months, or a year maybe it will, but certainly not now. Reaching out to more artists and studios may help.
