I've enjoyed coming here for years, and paid for a subscription precisely because I wanted you to maintain such a wealth of (free and paid) content under the tags that I'm interested in.

Now that it's 99% gone, and you don't really carry much that I'm interested in, there's precious little keeping me here. Worse, you choose safe, mainstream titles to release. Note that I don't blame you for this, as it's best to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, but please understand that this leaves people like myself, with niche interests, out in the cold.

I understand why you're doing this. If anything, I'm angry at the Japanese government for forcing you into this position. The hentai market is flooded with quickly-made trash that is simply not worth reading, let alone paying for; I've fallen for well-drawn covers too often, and simply cannot afford to buy every good looking book out there, as most are a complete disappointment.

Also, I hope you'll be more careful with assigning tags, now that there's much less content to go around. Tags seem to be added if only a single panel contains the content it describes, which, quite frankly, frustrates me to no end and comes across as too desperate.

I don't want to see this place shut down. 'Tis the end of an era.

To be honest, I understand why you took away all of the 'free' scanlations. I'm not angry about that. I personally preferred the way Fakku organized itself because it was simple, clear and easy to tag what we want.

However, the reason why I don't come on anymore is that what's left doesn't appeal to me. A lot of it just lacked some of the deeper feels. Take for example one of my favorite artist scanlations, Kasuga Souichi and Shibazaki Syouzi. These two artists focused on very normal, cute relationships. They had good style and made you feel fuzzy every time you read them. Above anything else, I saw these as a tribute to life at times because they were so pure and they had things most normal people want: a comfortable home with the person you love. Nothing dramatic. When you removed those stories, there wasn't much reason for me to continue reading on this website. Most of what's on is pretty dark stuff.

I haven't paid for the subscriptions, but based on the few titles and tags that I do see, I don't think those sweets stories remain any longer. I appreciate everything you've done for this website and I respect your decision. But until you bring back stories with that sort of emotion and warmth in them, there's no place for me here.

Prices, those will change based on how much people want these stories. I'm not going to debate about that considering that I wouldn't pay, regardless of price, because the current content.

I just wanted you to know this for you to understand that not everyone reads hentai for the sake of fapping off. Granted, I have, but I like a good romantic story with heartfelt messages. So, I'll keep an eye out and when I start seeing those really joyful and kind hentai come back, I'll start paying.

Hello sir i cant say im not surprised by the decision but i support it simply because someone puts time and effort into it and i believe they need recognition for it some how. however i would still like to be able to download or copy save them to my computer for the times im with out internet which can range from a day to months on end. if i have missed something and am able to im sorry but thanks for your time

Hello! Long time lurker here! And unlike most I'll be upfront about what I view as the Pro and Con of this move.

Pros: Well first of all, I applaud you for what you have done and will be doing. I always felt that artist should always get paid for their works! Always! I think that if Fakku can survive the initial hit and grow, they would definitely be a power to reckon with.

Of course getting more Artist on board with Fakku, heck if Fakku become the Crunchroll of porn, i'll be subbing.

So here's hoping.

Cons: I am however a bit iffy on the language you guys are using. Sure you guys can finally give money back to the Artist, which is a noble goal, but let's be honest. You are only giving money to SOME artist. In fact you are only getting money to artist who are working with the WANI.

From my understanding. WANI would be pulling your strings to feature their items. WHICH is how a business should work.

I also dislike how people are all standing on a soap box and saying "oh finally nice to not be able to pirate!" Or "Finally I can support my favorite artist!" OR some other crap. You guys have no high ground.

I'll be honest and frank. Without Fansub Scanalation, I would have no idea who Yuki N Dash was, or ShidoL. Heck the greatest of JIN /MTSP would have NEVER seen the light of day!

In a strict and control world were everything was legal coming in from Japan. We, the western audience would LOSE OUT on a bunch of great artist and their works. Why?

Because as a business Adult COmic Company want to discover the next hot artist coming out. They would then lobby that only THROUGH their company could Artist A make it big. By showing that they could also reach the western market, they can pressure the artist A to sign on with them OR they can remain in obscurity.

Scanlation and piracy of it let us be aware and SEE their works. Works that the comic companies might not want seen. Now they might have to come back to Artist A with a more favorable deal for said Artist.

That's the business world.

So standing and saying "Oh yes, I am helping Artist and piracy is bad." is pretty stupid.


Conclusion: I have not subbed yet. IN fact I'll be honest have no intention of subbing until the library get significantly larger. I understand Fakku is in their infancy with this method and need all the help it can get. I am depending on the hardcore supporters of Fakku to really carry you guys through this.

I have the money, I am just not sure if i should support it where works like Yuki N Dash, MTSP and ShindoL get throttled.

HOWEVER if suddenly you guys were to get all three of those Artist works on board at Fakku? Shit. I throw my money so fast at you guys you'd think it was someone attacking you!

To me, those three Artist up there is worth an instant subscription. I understand Yuki works for Tenma not idea if it is a subsidiary of Wani or not.

However I believe MTSP and SHindol are in business for themselves and have a hard time making content due to real life.

IF you can get in contact with them and offer them a cut for releasing their financial burdens. Then yes. You'll have me and I am sure many more as fans.

I'm looking at this change and I see CrunchyRoll again. This is actually a good thing.

Back when CrunchyRoll made the same choice it was thought to be the death of the site but many subscribers (myself included) backed them up on the choice. They removed all their unlicensed content leaving them with a small amount of licensed content. Over time they did recover and they got so much licensed content it isn't even funny.

They also work with Japanese publishers to bring over said content and because of their change we also have other streaming services from major publishers as well.

On here I personally support the change. I think it is a positive move that is very much needed and probably overdue. Unfortunately I can't financially support it at the moment.

Anyways Piracy comes usually because of one of two things for me.

1) Inaccessibility
2) Inaffordability

For hentai it is usually the first so to bring content over legally is still something I want.

P.S./Edit - I'm still surprised to this day that Fakku has uncensored content. I was under the distinct impression that Japanese authorities blocked the export of uncensored content because users over there would just re-import that version which violated local laws.
