You don't need to have paypal set up for automatic payments. Many people would be happy with just purchasing each month. While its definitely more ideal to have auto payments, atleast with manual payments we have paypal as an option. Also having the option to convert gift cards into a wallet balance would be convenient for people as well especially those who don't want fakku associate with their payment methods. Openbucks is a service that provides this payment option.

With the removal of the free content, I am not sure how Fakku will do. I hope things go well, but in Fakkus current state I don't think I will be subscribing until the price is lower. $10 a month is the absolute maximum I'd be willing to pay. $6.95 would be perfect. Maybe you could have a delayed released for those on the cheaper version by a week or two, then make the $10 version newest release.

Paypal won't touch any digital adult content at all, subscription or single payment. Thus why you can't use it for digital versions of books now.

As for pricing, it's quite affordable for adult content. There is a certain number of fees behind adult content pricing, which is one reason why it's as high as it is. Compare it to other premium adult content sites such as x-art, which is about $10 more than fakku is, as well as others, which range from $15usd to $30usd, depending on the site.

To add to this, Jacob has stated that $10 was the initially planned price for the subscription, but it had to be bumped up to the current number due to the additional fees.



Lowering the price clearly is not going to happen, but hopefully it'll seem more worth it for you once more magazines are added to the subscription, since you'll be paying the same amount for much more content at that point.

Sorry Jacob. I live in 3rd World Asia, & my salary's about $1/hour. So you can see that I would have a problem with you asking rates. Well, here it is: I'm inclined to pay the subscription fee, I've got no problem with that, really, but I would like to know how the artists are actually paid through Fakku. Obviously, the two simulpublishing you're doing are your biggest contracts, and I guess that's what costs your company the most money. Once again, I'm guessing you're paying them a fixed amount to be able to publish their content on your site. But how is it for "smaller" artists? Are they paid by number of views? Or are they paid by a fixed amount, too?

I know contracts usually forbid you from telling how much money you paid, but can you just tell me this?

I don't think it matters on the popularity of the artist on which one gets the most cut from the wani payment in this deal. I'm sure wani get a majority of the money, but mogg and f4u gets the same amount that a new or less big name mangaka does. I'm not sure but I think that what Jacob was going for.

I'm sure it's an add-on to the non contact piece work artist over contact salary but I'm not sure how they do it now. At least that what my side of the art world does it.

Keep in mind that the biggest reason behind subscriptions being a packaged deal of everything Fakku has to offer or nothing at all is to make sure every artist has equal exposure. Even though some people want to be able to only pay for their favorite artists, that damages Jacob's vision of everybody in the hentai business getting their due. I wouldn't worry about the smaller artists not getting compensated, because one of Fakku's biggest goals is exposure to new artists.

Now, if only Fakku would stop extracting chapters from subscriptions because they know it'll be compiled into a book they could sell later...
