You're comparing buying games to subscription? REALLY? Are you that dense? Compare it to Fakku books which .....ooooh yeah have download button with multiple options.
Fakku books is like 5% of the total content. I can't buy any other content because its subscription only.

Still you're paying for free shit off another site they PUT on a paywall. Plus steam is shit. Censors and remove content with in vns. Why feed the gaben's fat rolls when you can pay the developers for those games. Also Dl issues are coming. Crying that the big bad man is C&Ding other sites for his content ripped off his site isn't the same as amazon and all the fucking services locking it on there dl's. You can't use netflixs without paying or dl their movies without ripping them right.
Steam is great, they have sales and hats.
Also I don't use amazon/netflix/hulu subscriptions because they're retarded just like fakku subscriptions are.

All of your points have been brought up countless times before.
Sounds pretty futile then. Too bad.

Doujin-Moe sells pirated content, a lot of which can be found for free elsewhere—and I'm not talking about rips of their exclusive content. This is not limited to them, but a site with no licensing expenses that relies on third-party contributors for a large portion of its content is very different from what we're doing.
I don't know what you're doing, and I don't really care; it could be some shady crap like the Susan G Komen foundation. All I know is that my shelves and harddrives are severely lacking in cartoon porn, and if you won't sell it to me, then I'll get it some other way.

Steam has been around for a decade; our subscription service for half a year. I never liked Steam because I was around when it first came out, and all it did was preventing me from playing Counter-Strike. Twelve years down the road it's a great service—I've been told, since I don't use it myself—but they had twelve years to roll out the various features that make it a great service. An offline alternative is something we're looking into, but similarly, that won't happen overnight.
Steam is the best thing to happen to gaming. Sales, cloud saves, digital library, hats, TRUST. Valve has proven itself competent and stable, so I can buy games and play them whenever I want.
Also I don't have to pay a monthly fee every time I want to play a game I want. That's a plus.

Can you rent games through GOG? If not, you can't compare it to our subscription. The items you purchase through us are also completely DRM-free.
Books are like 5% of the content here, everything else is subscription. Why on earth would I RENT something that I wanted, that's ridiculous. That's what public libraries are for; you read something, if you like it you buy it permanently, then you can read it again in the future whenever the fuck you want.
For example, today's free sub chapter, Bet the Bunny. I like it. I can't buy it. Gotta find a way to pirate it because Fakku doesn't want to sell it, only do shitty cable package rentals.
I'm actually apprehensive about buying books as well, because that indirectly supports the subscription business model.
Anyway this is all stupid, I don't even know why I'm posting. I will not support a subscription business model, Fakku won't change it, end of story, fuck it yolo I'm gone.
