The content is blocked until further notice. Judging by the fact that it isn't just Fakku that's affected, it's possible that it's worldwide. It seems to be only works associated in some way with Wanimagazine. This'll likely keep up until Wanimagazine gives up trying to catch the tide/count grains of sand/some other metaphor for an impossible task.

As for when they'll get unblocked or some kind of solution to the problem, all we can do is sit tight and wait for news.

I never seem to have a issue reading anything. Haven't use fakku mangos for awhile.

The only artist I'm really fussed about getting blocked is Homunculus. Torrented/procured from Imgur most of his works though so I'm happy.

I'm just going to explain as much as possible without giving away too much information on how things are going on in the background. Consider this post to be the one to link if people continue to ask about issues regarding WaniMag.


Anyway without further adieu...

Around the first week of April of 2014, multiple teams started to get 'Cease&Desist' letters from WaniMag. The wording of the letters themselves were not your typical "Takedown, or we sue" letters, but more of a "Here's a THREAT of legal action IF you don't comply". These emails sent were pretty vague in general and relied on looking 'official' so that the smaller teams would simply comply in panic.

As of this post on April 19, 2014, the following teams ;

• The Lusty Lady Project

• XCX Scans

• Flatopia

• MumeiTL

Are the known teams to have either complied with the takedown (WaniMag turned nasty when confronted) or were simply insta-nuked by their hosting services when WaniMag contacted said hosts.

The reason WaniMag has started issuing takedowns requests has seen plenty of speculation, with the common consensus being that WaniMag finally has considered the North American market a possible legitimate market instead of some bastard child.

IF WaniMag is serious about publishing officially in the North American market, it would make sense for them to want to eliminate the teams that have translated their works. Why not kill off piracy now while possibly using their translations as a basis?

As for the "Y CANT I READ DES WORKS HURR DURR BLOCKED BY COUNTRY HALP PLS" posts...



Anything listed by Jacob is part of the (possibly temporary) takedown. Read this fucking list and understand WHY this is happening. People spouting nonsense like "IGNOR DEM HURRDURR, GIVE FINGER AND KEEP IT UP PLS" or "ZOMG HURRDURR WARE ARE ANSERS?" have no idea that if Jacob did keep it up, Fakku! would be gone.

As far as I know it, this takedown is site wide (not country specific) and impossible to get around. There is no confirmation (nor do I want to make any) that browser extensions, proxies or VPNs will allow you to skirt this ban.
