It's not only their KS projects though, it's their business model in general. They hoard so many titles and continue doing so that a lot of them end up in limbo since they "prioritize" big titles. Yet even when they prioritize something they screw up the release somehow then just remain silent.
One project I'm really angry about is Tenshin Ranman. We were translating it but stopped due to legal actions because SP got the rights or it. After that SP has literally stalled the progress as 99% for 3 going 4 years now. Same thing happened again with Maitetsu back in 2016 when we released a common route patch. Immediate cease and desist. They go as far as legal actions to stop fan translations.
Damn, looked up Tenshin Ranman and didn't realize it was Yuzusoft. That definitely sucks butt. Sorry man, don't know about the cease and desists there, but they do seem somewhat amiable to fan translations considering how the people that worked on the Dracu Riot fan translation seem to be
working with Sekai Project on the English release. From what I can tell, Tenshin Ranman doesn't run on Windows 10 so that might be holding things up. I definitely understand being pissed off there though. Reminds me of how the people working on the Little Busters fan translation quit working on the Ecstacy patch because of an impending English release and were able to work on the official English version. But Ecstacy is still going to remain untranslated and not available for purchase....

There wasn't even an original "all-ages" version announced until last year, Lose didn't have an all-ages version at all, not until recently, the only one is the "Pure-Station" release which will probably be on PC as well, but the fact that the game was a Loli Eroge should have made them realize that an all-ages release would not be what everyone focused on. I feel like I just rambled on, but the point is Sekai could not have had an all-ages version to work with for nearly three years, and if they did work with an all-ages version then they shouldn't have announced the project so long ago when there was none.
(Point is the all-ages version of Maitetsu is still not released yet, and Sekai could not have had that version to work with for all this time.)
I guess we won't know for sure until the Pure-Station version is released, but I imagine there's a good chance the PC and PS4 version will be identical outside of the PSVR tie-in.
The google doc from Dovac already mentions they were working from the console branch, so I think the all-ages version they were working on was directly from Lose. Seeing as how the PS4 version releases in less than two weeks, I imagine the voiced lines and re-written scenes were done awhile ago and the majority of the time was spent developing for the PS4 version. As for releasing Pure-Station on PC, the version on steam already has Japanese language support so it really does depend on whether it has other extra content. VNDB says Monobeno never got an all-ages version on PC though, so who knows.
