This may sound rude, but here goes:
When selling something, it would be courteous to mention any current issues with the product. If you want to come across as a "trustworthy" VN distributor, one shouldn't have to scroll through comments before hitting the purchase button. I bought the game nearly a month after release ~ Surely by this point a disclaimer BEFORE PURCHASING THE GAME that reads something like "Oh bee tee dubs, This says 18+ version but jk, the company sent us the wrong version, parts are messed up, if you want the 18+, please wait" -_- . . .
Love the manga side of things ~ Let's leave it at the VN side of Fakku has started on the wrong foot for me personally (which I understand is just bad luck), but with how it was managed, makes me want to stay with sites I trust for VN like Mangagamer (sorry). It's not enough to turn me off completely, and I do understand that this probably isn't common, but definitely throwing up a warning before hitting "buy" is something to think about in the future.
its not fakkus fault tho, sekai project was in charge of translating the visual novel into english theyre the ones who screwed up the game, originally i believe the adult version was supposed to be distributed by denpasoft (sekai projects adult devision) but for some reason sold the distribution rights to fakku so they can distribute it on their platform. in the end the fault lies on sekai project and fakku was just roped in on this when they have not done anything wrong.
I'm not blaming Fakku for the publisher's screw up ~ What I am bemoaning is that despite being aware of the issue (for more than a month I might add), their is still no immediately noticeable mention through the purchasing process that the 18+ version of the game you think you are buying has been screwed up by the publisher, and that an ETA to remedy this situation is unclear at best. For that, I can, and should fault Fakku. I am in no immediate rush, so I am not demanding a refund nor am I really upset, but in the future (as well as for Maitetsu itself) this is something the site should consider adding due to the fact that as it stands, it is essentially false advertising. And I do realize that below in the comments this is pointed out, but if one is skeptical of a product and turns to the comments to determine if the site is selling what it claims to be selling, then one cannot call that a "trustworthy site". At no point from when I clicked "purchase", to filling out and confirming my payment info, was their a notification that the product had issues.
I want to be clear, I am not blaming Fakku, but I am making what I consider to be valid and necessary feedback. I think it is more than fair to hold a distributor accountable with notifying consumers when a product has a known issue before purchase.
