did you notice in alot of Animes they like to suggest a character might be actually homosexual but avoid coming out and saying it, "I'm gay by the way". Also they really like to stereotype them as much as possible, i don't think i've seen one anime where the Gay guy wasn't the comic relief character who liked to wear dresses and talk with a lisp. It might just be my area but all the gay people i've met that live here act the same as straight guys, besides being a bit more buff and fashion savy.
You guys remember Persona 4 and the scenes with Kanji Tatsumi? That shit was really deep, i applaud that game for doing something like that, seriously. I know most Anime is intended to be "haha thats funny" but it'd be nice to see some Animes that actually stared down real world problems for men so it would be more significant to us. I mean there's a few like Rainbow etc. etc. but even those beat around the bush alot.
have you guys seen
Now and Then, Here and There., it's about a guy who goes back into this world at war and is kind of dragged onto the battlefield. They had some pretty crazy as shit there, like one of the girls in the show gets brutally raped as a prisoner of war and she appears later in the Anime
PREGNANT, that's the kind of stuff that really drives an anime home. you can add as much blood and fight scenes as you want but it won't make an Anime relevant by any means. The main character is pretty awesome also, they make him very real and you could potentially compare him to your everyday guy.
