So a week or so before the shitstorm in dallas that I was almost in [was supposed to met friends, was a bit late, only met with texts yelling get the fuck away from dallas. fun night] I was meeting a few friends for a outdoor concert.

I walked the way over it wasn't that far from the shop my buddies ran so it was doable. I finally get to them after i noticed that the police were blocking the main street that looks over the performance stage. So after getting settled and striking up some pleasantries to my buddies, a massive group of people behind us on the main row were chanting very loudly over the music. Now for the older folk here that recognizes me, interrupting my enjoyment of music in any form is bounds for me losing my shit and solving the problem by beating the shit out of you. Nothing pisses me off more than someone fucking up my chill time. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the BLM..thing means to do some good but in general the movement is nothing more than an annoyance, especially so for someone of color such as myself. There's better ways to get the word out without coming off as entitled asshats. This goes for any kind of protest group. There is a time and place for such things, like in the morning when city hall is actually in the offices but fuck me for sounding like a black guy with some fucking sense. I will place money that the extremists of the group would say that I sound 'white'.

So anyway, I'm getting testy I turn around and there were the cops flanking the group and flanking all of them are two guys in mismatched fatigues carrying ak-47s. Well thanks guys, your annoyance became full on 'fuck this situation' material. They keep chanting, people start asking what the fuck are you protesting about since it was insanely unclear. Sure no justice no peace, but for fucking who? The message does not carry if no one knows or even says what the fuck the message is about.

So they calm down for a bit [thank fucking god, at the 2 minute mark i was seriously thinking of ways to silence them without getting gunbanged by the ak-47 fan club] but then they start up again, and march through the field towards the fucking stage. NO NO NO please why the hell are you stopping the fucking music.

They get to the stage and the band playing at the time [Humming House, not usually my style of music but from what I was able to enjoy I like them a lot] allowed them to explain why they were doing what they were doing. It really sucks that they had to stop in the middle of their set to do that. I do respect they way that they handled it very civil. The reason was about yet another kid shoot and killed by police in the DFW area. But as soon as I assumed that it will be over after that some use fucking starts up.

And here is the purest form of 0 to 100

One of the ak-47 guys was trying to grab the mic from the lead at the time [multiple singers from what I could hear in between the constant chanting]. The police moved in, enter the shitstorm. As the police where arresting and taking weapons, me and my friends decide to bail the fuck out. We ran to a family of three heading towards the shitstorm and we told them 'nope' and continued our way towards a very nice british pub.

Got my fish and chips and a healthy amount of alcoholic drinks thankfully its open mic night so I'm getting my chill venue aesthetic on. Then, the shitstorm from earlier showed up again... police cars and all. the ak-47 guys nowhere to be found but a smaller group of people still chanting and walking back to whence they came from. I can't have any amount of happiness with this shit can I? thankfully they do not stay around and I'm back to enjoying the night.

Found out later the next morning that the two guys were privately hired folks, which explains a lot since in texas even though you can't obtain a ak, if you already have one you don't need a license to openly carry it out in public. AKA wanna be militia types. They are everywhere in this city.

Terrorism is defined as the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims. This can definitely be applied to certain sects and popular opinions within the BLM and other black separatist movements.



I don't know Reno's personal stand on what BLM represents but they don't represent the African American communities and their issues, regardless of how much they claim they do. I feel like his mistrust and dislike of the group is not based on race, like how you want to believe, but on actual actions and statements done by people within the movement.

That being said I don't believe core message they're trying to send is misguided or not based on (some) true facts. Just that the movement itself, is pretty shitty, violent, narcissistic, opportunistic and demanding. Me and most other black people I know don't feel that BLM represents us.

The thing I find most ridiculous about BLM, is that they advocate for killing white people. I'm white, but I actually have a black uncle related by blood, whom I share his first name as my middle name, and his last name. So by their logic, my uncle should kill me, his own blood related family.
