The 3 letters ARE derived from Seryph which is also pronounced as Seraph which is indeed a celestial being, but the origin of my interpretation is Zeryph, that is a slight alteration with zephyr which is a light wind, and when changed to Zeryph(Seryph) be interpreted as a change in the wind.
