I don't think I have seen something this dumb in quite some time. Allow me to tell a story and surely you will agree with me. I apologize in advance for any walls of text and ranting. Its just so bizarrely stupid

yesterday was the early launch of blade and soul for the western world. There is about 15 servers available to choose from. I picked the server called Yehara, it sounded like a name for a sexy woman, and I found out later that I was right yay me. Anyways, I had no problems playing at all. I logged in right away, there was no server lag, it wasn't overly crowded so finding quest mobs to kill was fine. And there was still a decent amount of conversation going on in the game's region chat.

I heard something odd in he region chat and go look on the game forums. The forums were filled with topics about 10 hour wait queues, unbearable lag, and game crashes. I was surprised, I had experienced none of these things. The game ran perfect for me. Then I find out that all of them, all of these people with these issues are on one server called Mushin. My first thought is that this server must have had some sort of bug in it that wasn't in the others. Nope.

You see I remembered something that I saw on the blade and soul stream the day before launch. As part of buying a founders pack people had been able to create their characters early and reserve their name and their place and what ever server they would like. But the people on the stream actually specifically said "There are way too many people on Mushin, if you want to have a smooth experience then start on another server."

After more research I found that Like 70 percent or more of the entire population was trying to play on just one server. I asked and asked and I never heard a clear reason for why everyone and their mom felt like they just had to play on Mushin. Some said it was because that was the name of the beta server, like that matters? One person told me some big name lets player announced he would be on Mushin. Do these people think they are going to be able to meet him or something? You are, by your own words, ruining your gameplay experience and just so you can maybe have a tiny tiny chance of playing with this guy?

There were people on my server, Yehara, saying in region chat "Im just here waiting for them to fix Mushin." or "Fucking queues taking forever on Mushin." They made a character on a different server and instead of just playing the game they say how they are only waiting for another server. I tried and tried to tell these people the most obvious solution to their problems. JUST PLAY ON ANOTHER SERVER! I was ignored. No one even bothered responding to me. People had this attitude like Mushin was the only server. People saying how this is the worst game launch ever and the publisher really fucked it up. I wanted to just scream at all these people.

The publisher didn't do anything wrong. You dumbasses thought you could all pile into one server and everything would be peachy keen. It actually got to a point that the publisher had to lock Mushin to prevent any further character creation and announce a plan to spread the population more across other servers. I honestly did not think I would have ever witnessed a event of such horrendous group stupidity. So many people, all committing the same idiocy. My palm can not go far enough into my face.
