Saying all that though Ratchet & Clank has you needing to level up your weapons to stand any chance in the final levels. Also trophies make you collect a million bolts or something silly.

Admittedly, that one might not be quite the game for Shane, would not recommend playing it without being a subscriber.

Then again, the medals for beating the Elite 4 with just one type are the main thing keeping me still playing Pokémon White 2.

You can just worry about experiencing the story and social links

I loved the games on PS2 that were just lightsaber battles. I kicked ass on those.
