wow, I seem to have started an argument about the difference between a good show, as in quality, and a entertaining show.

Apparently ecchi shows are entertaining but they are not good.

such utter nonsense. such things are people trying to demean ecchi for no other reason then "lust is bad". Entertaining is the goal, the whole point. If it is entertaining then it is good.

Not much else matters other than being entertaining. Well, as long as the animation is of decent quality, at least.

I remember thinking this recently about some series' scores on MAL as well. I could give it scores of 8 or 9 for individual categories like visuals or music, but if the entertainment value is a 7, it will still be a 7 for me in total.

And off to eat a bit now.
