Everyone has different ways to keep them motivated while writing, you might find yours too as I did when I find my own source of motivation~

I do by fantasizing and imagining more of the world. Making it vivid slowly. And I am quite against posting it here. That actually might kill a lot of the motivation.

Hmm, in that case just post it when you had the feel to do so. Following your own feelings, in many cases would lead to great decisions so don't rush yourself on posting it if you don't feel like doing so~

I wouldn't rush myself. But even without rushing, I write quite fast. Which is actually a problem sometimes.

I've seen some users that could write stories really fast, but the issue is how to be fast at writing while updating their stories consistently on a set time period. They might be too aroused by the highly supportive comments they exhausted all of their inspirations by writing too fast and decided to drop it soon enough~

Dunno how this thing is related to your problem but that's all I can think about~

Yeah, updating is a different thing. It depends on the amount of other things to do aside from motivation.

Here's my accomplishment so far, the 2011 years are the toughest times on writing though at the start of 2012 things got much more easier to write things~

Well thanks hahaha though I don't consider myself a fast writer lol, but I think it's not about how to be fast at writing...more about how to be doing it at consistent pace while working at it from the start until finish~

I suppose so.

There's also some other projects I'm working on besides my main story, one of them is about past halfway, the nearest to completion. I hope to complete my first long-running series few months from now =)

That one is a Touhou story, I'm probably going to continue on with another Touhou fic some weeks after completing the first one~

I wanted to read the Touhou fanfic, but then got lazy. Sorry. Too many chapters, and when I saw that I had to go to another site to read... I just stopped.

I'll probably move out the text into the forum format when I finish the next chapter, in addition of giving the download links containing all the chapters after its completion since there's some people who wants to read it all through PDF's.

I've got a new story that me and a friend are writing together. The concept isn't ground breaking originality, but I've always thought that great execution is what really makes or breaks a story. The collaboration effort is interesting in that my friend and I are always clashing ideas. Makes the story writing process a bit more dynamic.

Hm, wait a second, I should probably start thinking up writing material for the contest... Eh, I can do both.

And dropping your ongoing story just like that lol? I know it's not my place to say this since I haven't written any long-term series until completion yet, but I think you need to focus on that story too until you give it a proper ending else you might also drop that new project in the middle. Though it's up to you whether you want to take my advice or not =)

Okay I'm a bit harsh on this matter but please bear with me, good stories being dropped just like that makes me sad for some reason. I've seen a writer with excellent capabilities in writing and he had tons of stories he worked on but he drops many of his series right at the beginning points, that made me lost a great deal of respect of him even more that the literature section views him as a shining example of an elite writer...really really sad~

I only could wish that he'd be successful in the future on all his endeavors, he's still a writer that I respect regardless of all his shortcomings~

Whatttttttttttt? I said nothing of the sort?! The time I spent conceptualizing The World of Four is probably the most I've spent on any story I've written. The collaboration is something that my friend and I do in the summer to stave off our writer's blocks for the stories we write on a regular basis.

I have chapter 3, and a prologue ready for The World of Four, but I'm having it tweaked and checked before posting. Small part of me is a perfectionist (or I try to be at least). Plus, with the support you've given me, I doubt it's a project that will die anytime soon. Don't worry, at least in terms of perserverence, I'm sure I won't let you down.
