Yes, people do things for the sake of doing things.
Yes because Gabor Mate, Albert Bandura and Solomon Asch, some of the most profound and influential sociologists and psychologists in history, are definitely wrong. No, they're not, and you have no idea what you're talking about.

It's obvious I don't like the show and think less of people who do.
Okay, so somehow you think everyone else cares enough to tell them about it while you ride around on your high horse?

Their reaction only proves how obnoxious they are.
And making vague generalizations about people who like a specific youtube channel isn't obnoxious? Flaming their opinions and tastes with unstudied and unintelligent remarks isn't obnoxious? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

I notice certain patterns and behaviors among those fans.
Out of what kind of data pool Cruz? Have you personally observed more than 0.01% of their 1.4 million+ subscribers? Have you observed what other forms of entertainment they like and what their attitude on life is? You're conceitedly making vague generalizations and unfounded assumptions, you're just as bad as someone who stereotypes people based on their appearance.
I could make a ton of assumptions about you just based on the fact that you're browsing a hentai forum. I could say that you're probably an angst-ridden lonely 20-something neckbeard living with your parents and that you're likely a retarded weeaboo who likes to cyber, roleplay and fit japanese words they don't understand into their English sentences. You see, you're a part of this community, the hentai and anime fanbase and so am I. We don't have the best reputation in the world but we both know know that there are quite a few people who just don't fit into that stereotype, so why, for the love of god, would you stereotype knowing that there are likely a quite of few people that don't fit the patterns of a GG fan? Stupid people do that Cruz.

You can actually prove to me that my assumptions are wrong about you beyond a doubt(rather than saying, "you're wrong because I said so), but in the end of the day, that's all you end up proving.
I've given all of my accusations logical reasoning or a decent backing based on the given context. You've only given two minor reasons for their shows being bad and, both of them entirely subjective. You're the one that's saying "GG is bad because I said so."

"you're wrong because I said so"
Uh, yeah, no. There was logical reasoning in that, that being that you don't have enough data to make vague assumptions about my personality; which is a perfectly legitimate conclusion and you even owned up to being wrong in one of those generalizations earlier by trying to correct your statement.
Nice try though.

Do I think the commentary takes away from the experience because it's not insightful? No, I don't.

It takes away from the experience and adds something else, giving you something different.
Yet again trying to change your argument. If it both subtracts and adds to the experience value then it's not really taking anything away from it is it? Which is what you said it did previously. Although, I guess it would be better to say that how much value is added and subtracted is based on subjective taste. And if it's based on subjective taste, you should probably stop acting like it's based on objective reasoning.
