I think it's the overall size of the community, and the makeup of the moderation staff.
Besides shrinking, growing, and shrinking again--it's my understanding that most everybody has a day job now. It's harder to ban with an iron fist when you don't have hyperintelligent-insomniac-robo-kiwi-admins running around.

Threads like this can get you banned as you yourself are confirming a rule violation on your part.

Ill discuss it with some mods and get back to you whether your banned or not.
