Talking of sports (earlier), which sports are most popular in Japan? It seems like they play -everything- even if they don't compete in it at a high level. Like, I've seen rugby at schools in anime. Is that serious? :p

I'd say Kimi ni Todoke is my favorite anime right now. Manga I suppose would have to be Ga-Rei since that is the only one I'm reading right now.

Baseball by far. It beats everything by a large margin. Football (soccer) is next, and everything else is on equal terms. Sumo is supposed to be the number 1 sport, but I think that is a lie. They don't ever show sumo on Tv, but baseball is on all the time.

Yes and no. He doesn't do anything really dangerous, but one time he went to a guard gate to give some guys their lunch (he was deployed to iraq). When he got there, they talked outside the guard house, when someone down the street pulled out a rifle on them and tried to mow them all down. The attacker's rifle's barrel fell off though, and I guess the gun jamed or the saftey was on, but he just ran when his gun didn't start shooting. I believe they chased him down and beat him up.
So as long as he doesn't deliver any more lunches, I'm fine. he doesn't even carry a weapon I think so he isn't usually in harms way. Also he is in a country that is not at war, so recently he sent me pictures of him scuba diving.
