Let me give you an example
Me: 100RP 5000TP 10Rep
I buy "person" for 2000 TP
Second person auctions me for them
I bid 1 RP
They Bid 2 RP
I bid 3 RP and win
in the end I pay 2000TP and 3RP
[font=verdana][color=green]Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying it. But yes, that certainly seems a good new rule to implement.
This also stop people from trying to auction to get people at a lower price, since you still have to pay the initial TP
[font=verdana][color=green]Mhmm, that is true. I thought that this rule was a good way to provide disincentive to rush to the auction. That rule, mixed with possible minimum increments to the RP in auctions, would be most adequate.
I don't know about adding a required minimum though, since you are already paying the initial fee, imposing an additional fee just because someone auctions you seems a bit much. I do however think that I should add a penalty for those who join an auction but have no intention of winning just to make someone waiste their zenny. For example
my above example BUT:
when person two lost, they have to pay half of the "TP" that the person cost. So since the person cost 2000 they still have to pay 1000TP but not any RP. The only difference is if you are DEFENDING a purchase. if you lose you do not lose any RP or TP.
I noticed in the last game some people would join an auction just to make someone use a lot of their money, then at the last minute back out. I mean, you wouldn't auction someone if you knew you were going to lose right? haha
[font=verdana][color=green]Well, it makes the auction get a move on quicker. I mean, when people exchange 1RP increases, it's just really boring to watch. I like to see the price escalate quicker, just so the auction is done and dusted quicker.
Ah, bugger you. You just destroyed my only means of fun there. But yeah, I think that that's a good rule as well, despite my form of fun being taken away from me.
How about rules to bring the maths to the users? It can't be down to accountants all the time.
