If you don't want to learn programming from the ground up then it's pointless trying to throw yourself into the fray. Even if you did produce a result, it'd be littered with bugs and inefficient code that you would lack the understanding to debug or improve. There is no "pointing you in the right direction". You learned to draw through time dedicated to practicing your art from the ground up of many different styles over the course of many pictures. The same applies to programs.
If you're really serious about learning programming aspects, climb back down the mountain you just skydived midway up onto and learn some basic fundamentals of programming in a few different languages, then move onto scripting, and then onto this game creating kit's language.
If you don't want to do that, be like 90% of other game makers and form a team. Plenty of people can program as well as how you draw and draw as well as how you program. There's no sense in slaving away yourself only to produce a half baked result.
That is the complete opposite of my intentions; I do plan to learn programming from the ground up- I was simply asking for advice-

I.
Do not.
Know.
Programming.
Again, I'd prefer it if someone I knew pointed me in the right direction.
And I know that you may not be computer whizzes- but y'all certainly are compared to me.
Only the Amish know less than I do regarding such things.
Well, I literally just told you not to make excuses for yourself and to open up a book first before asking for help.
Put it into perspective then, rule out all the inactive people on Fakku, then all those who know some programming, then rule out the ones who are good and have lots of experience, then those who have experience with this particular program. Then you have to rule out the ones who are willing to take the time out of their hands to help someone who's basically clueless about programming and wants their hand held through the whole process.
It's cool that you want to learn something and acquire new skills, but you have to put yourself out there, go to a program/tech site and charm them over so they can take you through the whole process.
Don't be an ideas guy, Pump. No one likes ideas guys/girls.
-because I value your opinions, you fools.

Can't just appreciate and play games like the rest of the folks, eh?
Now where's the fun in that.
I need to create something awesome so people will love me.
For I was never hugged as a child.

Its been a while since ive seen shit that understand here.
Your going to need some C++/Java/Python/ experience if your going to write a game in that language.
I recommend you go to college and enjoy the torment with me.
Dropped in and out of several colleges/universities a few years ago, I think I'll wait a bit before I try that route again.

Well, as I said... It's a pretty limiting program, but it's fairly easy. I can't remember shit, but it's a lot of 'if' sequences... 'if sprite 1 interacts with sprite b = yes
Then run 'game over'
or something along those lines... Been a few years man... probably close to 6 years since I played with it.
See if you can find any teachers books on the subject... It was taught to us in it class... We got a book about the basics, which told us how to make basic things.
Which reminds me; Visual basic is hitler.
Hitler can kiss my shiny metal ass.
