O.o never knew you could run into those things in the wild. I knew that if you went to rustling grass, or moving sand you could run into something special in the area but never knew you could catch the elemental monkeys there.

On a side note, I LOVE my Fraxure <3 thing loves to one shot everything with dragon claw lol

Well honestly none of them seem all that good to me lol I had Pansage and he helped with the first gym but aside from that was kinda pointless, and my buddies that have the game said the same about the other ones.

Also, is it just me, or does it seem like every pokemon's first form is rather terrible, but once they evolve even ones they just become incredibly powerful? I struggle to evolve something most of the time, and then after it does it just one shots everything I was using to train it with before.

Mmm.. Not really, I kinda like these monkeys... I may have used one if my first one wasn't a Panpour and no Mincinno in the game ;p

Well yes... Isn't it always like that in every pokemon game... Of course they'll get stronger once they evolve

I don't mean that they're not strong, I mean they can't fight their way out of a paper bag. In previous games it wasn't to bad to level pokemon up or train new ones, but in this it's just so tedious having to me, I love the game but whenever training something new I just get incredibly bored with it, never had that problem in the old ones.

My Minci? Of course it's cute~ but it's not that much different than Patrat... Or if I have to be honest... She's a bit weaker.. But wait till you see Cincinno!

I see... Well so choose your team wisely so you don't have to train something new every now and then~

Well I can't always tell when I'll be wanting something new, I don't know all that many new Pokemon to be honest so if I run into something I may just replace a Pokemon anyway. Although I DO need to replace some to make my team more balanced, still waiting on my buddy to send me an Eevee so I can use this thunderstone....not to mention I need to breed more of the little things once I get that one.

On a side note, I feel kinda bad I'm probably not going to end up using Zekrom.

I have all the legendary pokemon from previous gens at my disposal, but I never used one in my team before.. This includes Shaymin which I adore so much.. And I'm continuing that tradition, so no Zerkrom or Reshiram or whichever legend this game have in store

Yup, that's Emboar lol posted that in celebration of mine evolving fully =P....and about thirty minutes later my lvl 1 Oshawatt was fully evolved too lol

@Lucia: You seriously never use Legendary Pokemon? That's just....iuno wasteful? I usually have one in my party and then let the others sit in their PC boxes.

I rarely use legendary Pokémon myself as well, although that's mainly because I already have my team chosen by the time I catch them. So the exceptions have been exactly those I've been able to get early in the game - Rotom in Platinum, Victini in White, and Zoroark in Black (Zoroark by now retired from the team, though).

Man if that was real I'd feel sorry for them lol just some trophy instead of being able to get out and do things, glad it's only a game xD

Well my reason is because I like to follow the story or lore or things that supposed to be in the pokemon world like it's shown in it's anime~
Like.... Well, do you ever see someone ride on Rayquaza's head in the anime before?... People think it's cool so a lot of them using Rayquaza in their team, but sowwee I found it ridiculous and a bit too childish~

Well the way I see it, if you're going to catch a legendary Pokemon, it'd be disrespectful to just keep it cooped up and unable to do anything. Guess it could be argued that it's disrespectful to even catch one lol but you need the strength of your Pokemon for the journey. If you go through the trouble of catching it, you should make the effort to let it have some fun and battle, not just sit around doing nothing.

You could also argue that it would be disrespectful towards your other Pokémon to replace it with a legendary after it's been your faithful partner throughout all your earlier adventures, though. ;)

True, but you have to let them rest sooner or later right? Give them a break and such. Plus no one ever said the change was permanent, not really being replaced just swapping out for a while. Plus if their skill set isn't very good for the situation I think some would appreciate being swapped out lol not gonna send a Pikachu out against an Onyx right? (hope not)

Pikachu can learn Brick Break from the TM. Just saying... :P

Still, Pikachu don't do well with physical attack or defense, Onyx is what Rock/Ground? Both of which are more known for having higher defense and attack than Sp.attack/defense, just doesn't go well for it. Sure Pikachu has the speed advantage, but Onyx not only has attack and defense advantage, but also a type advantage. Not to mention STAB for ground type attacks, which Pikachu is weak to.

True. Well, I wouldn't do that anyway, but I usually don't change my team for one fight either. So if Pikachu were in my usual team, it would accompany me into this fight as well, even if I'd have to rely on the other five Pokémon to win without Pikachu's help.
