[color=#006FFF]Pokemon Black/White is easily my favorite in the series because the game is the only one that has an actual story with actual characters that aren't just Gym Leaders. N, Cheren, and Bianca are all reoccurring characters with great traits. N is very well fleshed out throughout the game and he really does deserve all of his popularity, imo. He's a great character.
I see Black/White as the only one with an "actual story" because it's the only one I know that isn't just about going out and defeating all the gym leaders while catching ll of the Pokemon you can. Black/White addresses that mindset with Team Plasma's plans and gives another way of looking at the whole "Gotta Catch 'Em All!" mindset.
Honestly, there's a reason why they're making a sequel to it and I for one couldn't be happier about it getting one.
People who say they don't like Black/White are probably those who are stuck liking the old ones just for some form of nostalgia and as a result they don't really
want to like anything else. If you complain about the new generation of Pokemon, fine, but I think you should at least give Black/White a chance, and rather than looking at it through the lens in which you've viewed all other Pokemon games, try looking at it as an RPG of its own a little more.
I'll give you credit for saying all you did. How Black/White has the actual story in the game, rather than from knowledge outside of the game.
Now, the fact that it was short, was the main reason why I didn't think it was all that great. I still like, and still play, GSC for the length of time it actually has to take in order to get through the whole game. I mainly focus on play time and difficulty, as, for some reason, I don't really like to play anything that is too easy.
The second time I went through BW, I had all Ice Pokemon. I'd usually do it with Bug Pokemon, but Ice had less options in this game.
