And he ragdolled through the sky, his limbs outstretched and his body spinning like a fucking shuriken before landing in a limp pile of broken bones, cratering in the open field. ForceField-Girl was mortified. No snappy banter, no James Bond post-mortem one liner. She unexpectedly said "Oh shit, are you okay!?" and spent five minutes apologizing nonstop to his crumpled corpse.
