Oh, Jewel Meat and Rainbow Fruit are tough contenders too. Man, makes me wonder just how madly awesome Acacia's (the first Gourmet Hunter, and also the one responsible for ushering in the Gourmet Age in the manga) Full Course is. Not fully told, but yeah, even the names are crazy. Blanks are unknown yet.

I noticed that Ar Tonelico has something to do with Tolkien's 'legendarium'. Like the Tolkien legendarium, Ar Tonelico introduces its universe by explaining the origin of the languages and scripts that is invented for the game.
And Ar Tonelico must be the name of a non-canonical Numenorean king that the creators wanted to invent for their Lord of the Rings roleplaying games. Since he uses the Adunaic 'Ar', this means that the Ar Tonelico is a greedy king seeking immortality and has a penchant for slaughtering Elves and the 'Faithful Numenoreans'.
Since no one wants to roleplay with the Ar Tonelico and wants to roleplay with Ar Pharazon instead, the creators of Ar Tonelico decided to make Ar Tonelico a game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ar-Pharaz%C3%B4n#Ar-Pharaz.C3.B4n
I'm not so sure about that but Tonelico is actually taken from the japanese word meaning ash tree. In hymmnos it translates to the only divine tree, referring to the only three towers on Ar Ciel, the name of the planet, that are the only habitable places.
But I can accept that it has to do with legendarium. Even hymmnos itself is taken from many languages.
What I said just now, especially the part on Numenorean Kings was utter rubbish. But I have heard that Ar Tonelico did try to do a 'Tolkien', that is to create a universe by explaining the background behind the languages invented for the game.

(01:29) Shiva: as well as learned 4/5 of the music by heart
(01:30) Shiva: it holds more significance than you know; it stopped me from commiting suicide a while ago
(01:30) Shiva: and that's why I had to thank you
Stopped from suicide... I wonder how that happened.
The power of music, Rise. Something you'll never understand because of how you've been brought up, and your surroundings. Sometimes I really do pity how you had to live.
