Hmm.. how does it compare to shark?

Cant say, since shark is so uncommon and hence expensive here. Never had it.

Hmm.. well let's see if I can give you an idea then..

I've had sand shark before, barbequed in sage, lemon and a pepper and seasoned salt mix. I recall that being filling like lobster, but with a very chicken-ish taste, with a small hint of the wild fishyness coming through in the juices.

The meat itself was much like tilapia in thickness and texture.

If it's like tilapia, then eel wins in terms of texture hands down.

It's a battle of the juices!

And this is the moment I wish they had food teleporters.. give me some it sounds so yummy!

Food teleporters. I want that that too. Lots of regional food and other things i cant normally try. I want. ;~;

Can you imagine how they'd change the food competitions on fakku? And the idea of being able to share various regional foods with friends on here.. I mean we have people from the states, the UK, Japan, and even germany here.. let alone the other places people here are from.

tbh, I dunno that I've ever had tempoyak, but from the dishes I found on the web the first time you mentioned it to me, I beleive I would enjoy it. lol

Come to think of it, a "teleporter thread" might be interesting. See what everyone would send each other and what not. lol, I have no idea if it would do well. I mean, for example my Q and A thread. Seems like I bump it, it stays for a day or two and then dies for a bit.

People don't seem to like threads that make you think.. they just get lazy and say "same" or don't answer.

Still, it sure makes me curious what people here would choose to send each other. lol

Omg.. I am so behind on that stuff then. All I've played is the super-nes version and rune factory (a little). I'm a big softie, and so the idea of a game that's so much like a dating sim appeals to me. I also like that it's a game not totally centered on "beat this mob up repeatedly to get some storyline."

I rather liked Iris from Rune factory frontier, cuz she reminded me so much of myself.. I had no idea those games had an online following and artwork and such. If I bump into Luvy, I'll have to mindlessly rant at her about it.. like, I'm uh.. doing to you. ^^;; Oops.

Lol, then again I don't get to talk to luvy much. Dunno where she hangs out, and she seems so popular it wouldn't suprise me if she lurks around hiding from some folks.

lol, by all means do! I think you'd like the harvest moon - rune factory games best. A warning about rune factory frontier though.. to $*#^&@* with those runeys! Seriously.

That game is like the first game in many ways, the main character is the same, most of the girls are the same etc.. but it does differ in many awesome ways too. Advanced crafting that wasn't available in the first one, really high stack limits and so on.

But those runeys!! On the face of it, they are a great idea, and I love their inclusion.. almost. They are like harvest spirits. Have a high amount in an area, crops grow faster than quoted, and they can be used for special things. They make people happy sure.. but when you get down to the mechanics of how they work, you'll wish to choke the game devs.

See they have a food chain. Over time, they eat each other, more are born and so forth.. but the chain is broken. It doesn't loop.. they eat like so.. Water -> Stone -> Tree -> Grass

So water doesn't get eaten by anything, and grass doesn't eat anything.. forcing you to eventually have to shift runeys about to manage and control population of the various areas, otherwise runey types run out quickly, and your crops suffer. Since each day is a timed, it can seriously cut into your enjoyment, especially if you were unaware.

Take my word for it as well. Play the Rune Factory games, along with the portable non-3D Harvest Moon games. So good...

lol, while browsing around I saw this quiz to figure out what girl from the game you'd end up with.. didn't include iris, so I figure it's based on the first game. Anyways, I got the same percentage for Mist, Cinnamon, and Tabatha.. go figure. All the mysterious girls. No wonder I can never pick in that game. xD

So... yeah. Hope this goes on til the end of time.
